Mimi Parker, vocalist and drummer of the minimalist rock band Low, has died

The vocalist and drummer for the hauntingly minimalist rock band Low died on Saturday. She had been living with ovarian cancer.

She had been battling cancer. This one sucks for me. Got into Low a year after college, and to this day it’s one of those “why haven’t I given this a chance before” moments for me. RIP.

The Great Destroyer was a pretty big deal to me. I had an opportunity to see them live a few years ago, but the 4 hour drive to Knoxville felt like a bit too much. Regrets.
