He was 67. At least he stuck around long enough for Rush finally getting into the HOF.

Big loss to the music world and a legit top 10 all-time drummer. I love Rush and will pour one out for Neil. RIP brother.

Very surprising because normally when someone of his stature is close to death, you hear about it beforehand.

I was never a big Rush fan but Neil Peart will always be on any GOAT drummer list, RIP

One of the GOAT. A huge loss to classic rock. Rush managed to do it on their own terms and evolve without compromising their sound for forty years.

FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUCK. Peart's drumming is legendary and still, in an era of triggered kicks and gravity blasts, stands out for its technicality. The man was a top 5 drummer for me and what helped me get past Geddy Lee's voice, initially, was Peart.

RIP to one of the best ever.

Didn't realize he was that young. He was only in his mid/late 20s at the height of Rush's popularity.
