Jerry West has died today at age of 86.

I’m going to unfairly blame his depiction in Winning Time for this.

Him, Elgin Baylor and Magic Johnson are the three non scrub era Lakers that I unequivocally like. RIP Logo.

The guy thought about killing himself his whole life, the fact that he made it this far is a testament to his ability to deal with suffering.

He'll forever be one of those names just intrinsically linked with the NBA thanks to him being the logo above & beyond his considerable playing ability. Legit that may be one of the best branding/marketing accomplishments ever.
