I've having some issues with my screen and I was wondering if anyone may be able to help me with the problem.

Basically when my computer goes to a screen saver, it stretches out my picture and basically the sides of my screen are cut off by the monitor. After a little bit it stretches back to almost normal but the very ends are still a bit cut off.

I can't figure out what the problem is. I think it has something to do with Aero. This started happening after I did a update to Windows 7 and I think the update managed to turn on Aero. I had Aero turned off because my graphics card wasn't good enough for Aero. I've read just changing the desktop to basic turns off Aero but I've tried that and I don't think it's working.

Can anyone give me any information on this? I've also tried turning down my screen resolution but that hasn't really helped at all either.

I'll take a shot here: Maybe you should update the video card drivers. I installed something from Windows Update recently and it messed up my wireless card drivers. Maybe your video card drivers are faulty too.

I was actually thinking of turning my screen saver off Vitamin but for some reason that's been a hassle as well. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but whenever I just try to turn the screen saver off and save the settings, the computer still goes to a screen saver after 10 minutes or so.

When you say update my video card driver Thrasher do you mean see if there's an update for them or do you mean I should just replace my video card?

You can replace the drivers. You can actually delete the drivers and it will automatically reinstall them.

I just meant go online and see if your video card vendor has updated drivers or you could reinstall your current ones.

Late response but I figured out it was my monitor. I just need to get a new one.
