Are you going for comedy ("another one bites the dust") something cheesy that will make everyone cringe (a friend of mine wants westlife played at hers) or something serious, with gravitas (Johnny Cash perhaps?).

For the record, I've never known anyone who got "another one bites the dust" played at theirs, but it seems to be a popular "someone who knows someone" story that people have got that played at theirs.

Frank Sinatra's "My Way", followed by "See You Later, Alligator". OK, only the first one but I have considered the second one as a rib.

This is the UK top ten funeral songs, couldn't find the US one.

1. Wind Beneath My Wings - Bette Midler
2. My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion
3. I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston
4. Simply The Best - Tina Turner
5. Angels - Robbie Williams
6. You'll Never Walk Alone - Gerry And The Pacemakers
7. Candle In The Wind - Elton John
8. Unchained Melody - Righteous Brothers
9. Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon And Garfunkel
10. Time To Say Goodbye - Sarah Brightman

Bette Midler!? Celine Dion!? Candle in the wind!? Talk about making a bad situation worse. And I personally wouldn't want to be sent off into the afterlife with the theme from The Bodyguard. That movie wasn't even that good.

Candle in the Wind makes it because he sang a version of it for Princess Di's funeral, so I can at least understand it. Celine Dion makes me want to shoot my own ears off.

Wind beneath my wings always struck me as a really two-faced, narcissistic song.

"Hey, you were never as pretty, rich or successful as me, and were bascially stuck in the background and eclipsed by how wonderful I was, and now no-one remembers you, but thanks for being a friend and giving up your own dreams for me. Me!"

Heck, Stephanie McMahon singing that song with the alliance on raw is probably the best version of it.

Either the closing theme from SNL or "Surprise, You're Dead" by Faith No More.

As mentioned in that top 10 list, "Time to Say Goodbye" but I want the Sarah Brightman duet with Andrea Bocelli.

And as everyone is weeping, the song fades out and then a fade in of little known Green Day song, "Ha Ha You're Dead" to end it with a laugh.
