When guys just talk, it's really good. He gets into herding mode and just navigates towards guys talking about stuff. I didn't realize I should know who he is beyond letting Don Frye talk about Takayama for the thousandth time. But this sounds pretty par for the course with scummy indie stereotypes.

PWG announced that their return is going to be Mystery Vortex. Their show where no talent or matches are announced before the show. Imagine the outrage if they had him show up and knew how mad people would be, so they made it their mystery show? Probably not, but good lord, just thinking about that.

I've already seen woke Wrestling Twitter people assume that Starr will be on the show and decrying the very concept of mystery show as if they're some kind of sex abuse Avengers.

Now feel free to quote this if David Starr does actually show up at PWG and call me a dumbass but I'm pretty sure timing is coincidental.

Oh, I'm sure he won't be there. I actually like the Mystery Vortex shows. It's such awful timing for them.

Limitless had a mystery show last week and granted, they're a few rungs on the ladder below PWG but still no one assumed any sex offenders would show up! Why would anyone think the most prominent independent wrestling promotion in the US based in one of the most left wing cities in the country allow one? Because he used to say nice things about socialism?

He'll definitely be back somewhere now that things are reopening soon. I'm guessing somewhere in Europe where cancel (consequences) culture isn't as prominent. I just don't see someone with as strong of a personality as his going away forever.

Michael Elgin, like his fallen fellow countryman Roots Genoa, is one of those guys where there were a ton of obvious red flags that everyone brushed aside or ignored at the time. In retrospect, him publicly talking about leaving ROH when he was their top guy in the mid 2010s to pursue his dream of becoming a MLB player should have told us all he was a few sandwiches short of a picnic hamper.

That really disgusting story he told on Kevin Owens' pre-WWE interview show was the red flag for me. Watching Owens laughing along to it is also uneasy. But hey, different times I guess.

I came across that a couple years ago, and I haven't had the same feels for KO since. I was a huge fan before that, but him laughing about Elgin sexually assaulting a women and playing it off as a joke really didn't sit well with me.

Just last month there were wrestlers worried about him because he went missing for a short time. Looks like he should have stayed missing.
