It seems like there's a limit in scope. Educational benefits. But Kavanaugh in his concurring opinion made clear that if the rest of the compensation rules come to the court, they are in serious jeopardy.

The reason college athletes being paid is met with such negativity in the south is that southerners are engrained to believe people should work for free while the master...er coach, profits.

It's a long time coming. I've read a lot of states are going to be doing what Kentucky is doing and that more anti-trust lawsuits could come the NCAA's way as well.
