Rubio is expected to be part of the Cabinet from what I read. Florida is gerrymandered to hell and DeSantis and Trump won by double digits, so a Senate replacement is no big deal.
Gerrymandering has nothing to do with Senate elections lol

I had mentioned something similar earlier. But, something to watch is what actually happens in the first year. For a lame duck president all their juice is that first year or two. Beyond that they don't have near the power.

So, anything that doesn't get done right away and kind of lingers on probably ain't happening.

Look at the policy that got done early vs. the last two years of Obama, Bush 2 and Clinton. It's night and day.

Nov 8 (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's transition team has prepared executive orders and proclamations on withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement and shrinking the size of some national monuments to allow more drilling and mining, the New York Times reported on Friday.
Trump is also expected to end the pause on permitting new liquefied natural gas exports to big markets in Asia and Europe and revoke a waiver that allows California and other states to have tighter pollution standards, according to the report.

Another neocon, who also denies the humanity of Palestinians, Mike Huckabee, will be ambassador to Israel

Also, Gaetz is gonna be the biggest challenge as far as nominations are concerned. Almost everyone in congress hates him, and loyalty or not, there's likely to be protesting voices.

I can't think of a single GOP senator who will vote against him or anyone else trump nominates.

Edit: Maybe Murkowski, if she counts as a Republican
