5,000 is a token amount and nowhere near sufficient enough to fight even a moderately trained state-backed military. Bluster. The US won't be getting militarily nvolved in the air or sea with Venezuela.

VENEZUELA is preparing to ship a gigantic amount of gold from the country, according to recent reports from a former Venezuelan economist. No one knows where the shipment is going, however.
The gold is worth $840 million, according to the insider.
The jet - owned by Russian airline Nordwind - landed near the Venezuelan capital Caracas, at the city's international airport.

The flight had come straight from Moscow, the first time this trip was ever made by the jet, and parked in a private section of the site.

Adding to the unusual nature of the visit, Nordwind does not offer flights directly from Moscow to Caracas, and the had previously made trips in between Russia and South East Asia.

Despite having space for over 400 people, the plane had touched down with only two crews and no further passengers.
