Not really, it did about standard business for Labour Day Weekend.

Labour Day has always been a dead weekend for the box office, it's when studios dump their loser films.

From what I read, the cast totally lost faith in the script, and intentionally overacted, and/or acted badly.

Sandra Bullock was instrumental in getting the movie made

That's an oddly gloating post. Not like TFD is some hallowed masterpiece which is stickin' it to something incredibly inferior to itself. Grand total of 6% difference between their scores on Rottentomatoes. Also, "falling off the map"? It's at #6 on the list with a fairly respectable $27M domestic gross. Since the budget was $18M, that means it's making money.

In fact, The Final Destination had a budget of $43M, and has so far gotten a domestic gross of $50M. Do some simple math, and it turns out that Halloween 2 has currently made a bigger profit. (Granted that will probably change, since TFD has more staying power.)

And who gives a fuck what Scout Taylor-Compton says? Holy shit, the lead actress of a movie said that she liked her movie that she months working on, and didn't like its lead competition! OMG, a teenage Hollywood star has strange opinions! Whatta shock. You expect her to praise a competing film and bury her own work?

If you wanna criticize H2 or Zombie, it's not hard to find genuine reasons to do so. You don't need to grasp at straws or just make shit up.

It's not like it was this horrible horror movie either, you want a horrible horror movie go see The Collector. If nothing else it was better then Halloween 4-6 and Ressurection, even if a bit incoherent.
