New WWE thread for the next few months.

Main Event Jey Uso wins the IC title from Bron Breakker ending his reign at just under two months. Xavier Woods turning heel soon? McIntyre/Punk still going at it. Discuss all things regarding the current product.

Being in the Pacific time zone and my weekends being Tuesday and Wednesday has destroyed my motivation to catch Raw or SD outside of YouTube highlights since they start at goddamn 5pm here. I'll watch anything to do with Punk/Drew, Bloodline business, and the whole Liv/Rhea/Dom thing but other stuff is sort of background noise. If you asked me to name 80% of the women with just a picture I'd fail hard. I'm intrigued by Xavier Woods going heel though because I'll bet he's really goddamn good at it and has had lots of ideas in the last decade being a face.

More fascinating is that Cardi B is promoting SummerSlam at MetLife on socials while Megan thee Stallion is the new Smackdown theme artist.

WWE breaking through hip hop beefs by uniting together through corporate synergy.

It’s a god damn beautiful thing.

Word on the street is that MAGA Thee Stallion made her return to NXT at a house show last night.

So Jade Cargill signed with WWE one year ago this week. How do we feel her run has gone so far?

Anything she was complaining about AEW doing is the same in WWE or worse. No singles matches that I've seen. She feels less special any time I've seen her on PPV's and her work inring has not improved in the slightest. Being put with a far superior worker (and power worker at that) in Bianca just negated everything interesting about her.

Speaking of HHH and black workers I saw someone say that Bad Blood will be the 3rd ppv in a row with no male black workers on it. Yikes.

I mean the homophobic slur thing blew over pretty strongly at the time and she did it on a live stream. "I'm Australian! It's how we talk!" worked.

Besides she's spent the last what, two years in a committed relationship with a LatinX man until recently? smh.

yeah that's what I mean about how this stuff will always come back on you. Even if it blows over it will come back again and again.

They added a little color to the IC title belt and it actually looks really cool. Not as cool as the classic white strap belt but hey, take the wins where you find them.

All episodes of WWF/E Raw will be removed from Peacock starting in January 2025.

It's unclear if they will be shown on Netflix or if they will just move into the abyss.

They gotta be going to Netflix. Doesn't make sense otherwise.

I don't wanna get Netflix again but those 1993 Raws are so comforting.

Today, on October 5th, 2024, I choose to remember the life and legacy of the late, great Brian Pillman, who died of heart failure the age of 35 on this very day, back in 1997.

RIP: Brian Pillman (1962-1997)

“I see everybody gets the opportunity. I don’t see the difference in anybody,” Triple H said. “I don’t see the color, I don’t see the nationality or any of that. I just see talent. I don’t see the difference between men and women, I see talent. We tell stories with those talent, how they can handle those stories and how they can represent those stories, and how we can bring those stories forward. I don’t keep track of any of that. I do what’s relevant and what is best in the storytelling and what’s being delivered the best and that’s what goes. No different than the men and women who main events whatever, whatever the biggest stories are, that’s where we go.”
This is a terrible answer and it's obviously bullshit. "I don't see the nationality". They book entire ppvs around national stars getting the main event in their home country all the time now. It's easy to look at how he books and see he has a bias.

Cody shared a really thoughtful story a few years ago about Brandi explaining the problem with “I don’t see color.” Maybe Triple H should have a talk with his top world champion sometime.
