I really don't know what I want to see Cody do. There's no option where he's half as compelling after a Rock match.

I'm more curious what the hell happens to Seth based on how stupid he looked. If he leaves and if his wife goes with him.

I’d genuinely be shocked if Seth Rollins went to AEW considering he has been WWE’s most outspoken water carrier well before it was cool to take potshots at AEW.

I don’t think Seth has any more in winning any WON Awards (Wikipedia tells me he has won 4—3 of them “Worst” awards lol). I think he just really likes being part of the WWE machine.

I don't think I've seen someone his level made to look that bad before at Wrestlemania. That run in was embarrassing, and either a production person needs to be fired or Seth's in some dog house. If he and Mox weren't friends, and if Seth and Punk didn't dislike each other, and if Seth hadn't been made to look like a total dope for the buildup and event itself, and his wife hadn't lost a match that was bumped from the main event of night one, and if he was made to look like an afterthought due to the cash in, and his contract isn't up soon, I'd feel more strongly.

Dude should change his name to Seth Freakin Rollins like Rude did and make money on Wednesdays.

Yeah, Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell 2019. He’ll be fine long term. He’ll be fine long term. People don’t have the same reverence for him that they do for Cena or Cody or even Randy Orton. I still* don’t know if Orton fully recovered from his Wyatt Family feud seven years ago and I don’t think really started winning fans over again until he did fun tag team/mid card stuff with Matt Riddle stuff in 2020-21.

I wouldn’t say Seth is Teflon character wise but people can tolerate him embarrassing himself more cause he is a ridiculous personality, even by pro wrestling standards.

I'm guessing Trish returns soon (maybe tonight) to setup the Mother vs. Mami feud that will be filled with sexual innuendo that will please noted perverts here.

Rhea’s in an interesting spot to me. She’s so far clear of the rest of the women’s division, there is no one on the roster who could credibly take her down right now. It’s either women she’s already beaten, someone who could plausibly do it but needs to be reheated (Bianca), or someone who’s probably at least a couple years away.

By the way, do we know the status of Drew’s contract? Because there’s definitely a money match to be had with him vs. Punk, but I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s gone sooner than later.

Last I heard a week or two ago was that there was no news and his contract is still set to expire sometime this summer. I don’t think any wrestler since the Monday Night War maybe ever has sat more in the catbird seat.

WWE and AEW should be willing to spend hand over fist to get him. Can you imagine if he is available for AEW in time of the Wembley show?

Tbf, HiaC 2019 is more important than it sounds on paper cause it was the first WWE PLE after AEW Dynamite started. It’s not WM level important but not a nothing show.

I thought he did really well, considering how banged up he is in the World Title match and that is really all that most fans will remember about his presence in the show.

He will be fine and back in the main event picture, even if it’s the B show main event picture, when he returns from injury.

I really like the IC belt because it's like an updated version of Valentine's. Looked perfect on Gunther. If they bring back the classic design with the black strap, though, that's the correct answer.

Medium warm take: I like the Universal Championship belt as much as any since the first Undisputed Title that Brock and Eddie Guerrero had.

No winged eagle but I think it’s a fine belt for the modern era. Late ‘00s/early ‘10s was the low point for me, in terms of WWE Title belt quality.

The main event belts haven't looked good to me since the old undisputed title was phased out, I think. Big gold belt excluded because it's the big gold belt. But it's practically impossible to look bad with the winged eagle belt Bret had. Flair is the exception that proves the rule.

I am genuinely curious who Cody Rhodes’ post WM angle is with.

Immediate instinct is Gunther (oh man 2010s indie Kamala just used his old name earlier!) but if he loses two programs in a row, you risk him becoming just another guy.

I’d like a left field choice like Bronson Reed. Is there someone from NXT that they could call up? Bron Breakker Vs Cody Rhodes feels like a feud that they will have to do for some reason. “Your dad is the reason that my dad never became champion!”

Rock's going to get a match before he goes, I'm sure, and since Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga are coming in it wouldn't shock me if they stretched Bloodline shit out a couple more months while they build up someone else.

I just don't want Orton to expose Cody before it's time.

Idk if we are going to see The Rock wrestle again this year. If it doesn’t happen at Backlash (I feel like the Paris locale might be prestigious enough to get another Rock in ring apparance), I don’t think it happens.

The Rock should put his People’s Champ belt on the line against Cody. Muhammad Ali would love his gift to be used in a wrestling angle.

Rock will show up for Summerslam I'm suspecting. They can blow off Rock/Roman there.

I think I read he is filming a movie until the end of August so SummerSlam is out of the picture.

I’m guessing The Rock Vs Roman will happen at the fall Saudi PLE or if The Rock is afraid of the PR blowback, WrestleMania XLI.

It is wild that WWE doesn’t have another PLE taking place in the US until SummerSlam. When Nick Khan talked about going international, he wasn’t kidding.

The live events in the states are doing so hot right now that for a lot of fans right now, all events feel must see.

How that maintains in the post mania season will be interesting to monitor but makes sense to strike internationally while hot in the states.
