I read that all the games would be E+10 so that they could just be added to arcade without ESRB spoiling what's coming out.

I should have read what was happening before overspending on Astrosmash. I didn't understand what "all consoles" meant and assumed there was no price change... I guess I can play it on this computer though.

Complete fail on them already not living up to the weekly update promise.
I bought Battlantis because everytime I browsed the store I got hooked by it's theme music. It's really fun but really frustrating... it's one of those games where I get a bad score (my high is 28,XXX) and assume I'll check the worldwide leader and see people have 990,000 (which is what happens with Astrosmash... no clue how they pull that off). Long story short the high score is no more than 127,000 or so.
I love Shao-Lin Road... bps is getting good at it though and might beat me.

That game frustrates me...and yet I keep going back. I thought I was going to take down your high score earlier today but I fucked up with my last life. If I had played that game as a kid I would have been plugged so many quarters into it.
Sucks that they aren't going to have new games for a month (seriously...can Microsoft launch anything right on Xbox Live?) but once they start they claim they're good for the rest of the year. We'll see.

A month? I was hoping they just failed to meet the Wednesday date and something would pop up by Friday or they'd have game packs 3 and 4 next Wednesday. Oh well.
The Challenges are what makes it... once I realized THAT was how to record high scores I don't think I've played a "Free play" of a game yet.
These games are so easy to screw up on though. Sometimes in Shao-Lin I end up facing the wrong way, widly kicking at no one while I get hit twice by mooks wandering around me. On stage 1. I feel like such a fool when I fall off a ledge too... I know better.
I played demos of Intellivision games I remembered as a kid and while admittedly I remember not understanding how to play Sub-Hunt then either, I think I got a bit further than looking at a beeping screen with a Thundercats logo in the right corner (that's how I've viewed it since I first played the game) and managed to at least PLACE a sub somewhere. I couldn't get anything to work. Then I played a demo of Outlaw for the 2600... wow, how fun is it to shoot at a guy who JUST STANDS THERE.

Someone told me (and where he got this info from, I don't know) that they had the ENTIRE Intellivision library. I hope that's true and includes liscensed games like Masters of the Universe (which I guess kind of sucks but it has a kick ass video game riff of the He-Man theme, plus nostalgia) and Burger Time. BT not being on Intellvision Lives was a bummer - that's my favourite pre-NES game.
I was surprised Space Armada was allowed because that's clearly a blatant rip-off of Space Invaders and I figure society has become very litigious since 1981.

I'm definitely excited to see what's coming up. It's unbelievable that they weren't ready to start releasing packs today. The constant influx of new games is like...the entire point of how game room works.
Still...if they can start doing regular updates beginning late April I'm sure I'll forget about how annoyed I am right now.
Perhaps a part of their plan to make me buy one of the games I haven't.

I think Battlantis was the game I was going to buy and then got so frustrated by missing one of the things coming at me that I exited the demo angrily and now don't know if I like it enough to buy it.
So in the next month, I'll probably buy it.

The demo did piss me off when a man climbed my castle and I had no way of shooting him, but there is an upgrade for that (shooting sideways). My main frustration comes with the fact that you seem to need perfect aim to hit enemies and you're screwed when you miss them (stage 2 has different waves of enemies flying at you in a pattern instead of the 2/3 overhead perspective Space Invaders clone level 1 is - miss one and it will land on your castle and kill you).

bps: I suck at Millipede (I find the spider too distracting and the sound the game makes when you die scares me) so kudos on challenging me to that.
