I find it bizarre there's no teams in the three biggest cities in the USA but I guess The Rock and co. figure those cities have more important things to do than follow a second tier football league. No Northeast teams either besides DC (which just barely counts as Northeast). I guess they probably want to avoid weather headaches since it's gonna be a late winter/early spring schedule.

So many possibilities!
Colorado Mastodons could've been unique and an homage to Vader.

Pretty good news in terms of broadcasting coverage: "Teams will practice in and around the Arlington, Texas, area but will play games in their local markets. All 43 games of the 2023 season will be televised or streamed on a Disney or ESPN platform."

Not sure how the practice concept will play out but that probably further explains the restricted nature of the homes chosen. Having to fly from Seattle to Texas just to practice sounds sorta stupid though but that's me.

We missed seeing Brad Wing, punter from LSU, in person for the XFL draft. Allegedly he was at the Baton Rouge card shop 3 hours prior to our arrival. I'm not even an LSU fan but I dug his swagger in college. If I had just gotten up earlier that day.
