Does Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White Have a Shot at Defeating Donald Trump in the General?

With 683 pledged delegates, it’s becoming more and more clear that Donald Trump is going to be the Republican nominee for president. For folks on the left, who are afraid of Trump’s nationalist and jingoistic rhetoric, this is a scary, sobering thought. Said scared sobriety begs the question: can Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White defeat Donald Trump in the general election?

There are a number of obstacles in the way of Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White’s path to the White House. First and foremost, Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White has not as of yet announced his candidacy for president. What this means is that Trump has a several month head start in his campaign, and voters are going to be much more familiar with his policies and ideologies. That’s a pretty big advantage for Trump.

Furthermore, though he may seem deficient when compared to other candidates like Ted Cruz or Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump seems to have a stronger grasp of the issues than does Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White. Trump, for instance, seems to favor more centrist, regulation heavy economic policies. Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White, on the other hand, has no public stance on any issues, economic or otherwise. For some undecided voters, the prevailing notion may be that the evil you see is better than your evil you don’t. Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White’s mysteriously absent thoughts on the Trans Pacific Partnership and Common Core national standards may sway some voters in Trump’s direction, should the election come down to Donald Trump and Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White.

Also not god for supporters of Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White is that Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White spent the entire 2015-2016 NFL season on the Physically Unable to Perform List. Though the Chicago Bears had high hopes for him coming into the season, we’ve yet to see what he looks like in action.

Now, there is some good news. Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White ran a 4.35 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine before being drafted 7th overall in 2015. That’s a very fast 40 time, and given that Donald Trump is 69 years old, it seems unlikely that Trump would be able to compete with that. Let’s also keep in mind that Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White was a Biletnikoff Award Finalist in 2014, as well as a Maxwell Award Semifinalist. In addition, he was Second-Team All-American and First-Team All Big 12. Donald Trump, on the other hand, went to college at Fordham University, which doesn’t even have a football program, so Mr. Trump can boast no such honors.

All in all, though Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White certainly has an advantage with regards to on-field football skills, and an even bigger advantage in the field of not being full of hate, his total lack of any desired interest in being the President of the United States will probably prevent him from defeating Donald Trump in the general election, should the general election come down to Donald Trump and Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White.
