Uh, I think I figured the source of the Bischoff hate.

Even on the off chance, Tony was sober hate tweeting Bischoff, it exhibits poor judgment. There is no way to win a Twitter beef with an irrelevant ignorant dinosaur like Eric Bischoff. Not cause Tony is wrong and Eric is right but it just makes you look petty and keeps whatever relevancy Eric has left alive for another day. This is not behavior befitting of an owner of a nationally televised company.

See I think Cornette marks genuinely do not want more wrestling. Even if someone booked a promotion that was exactly like 1982 Memphis, they would whine about how it’s just a copy.

To a degree that isn't exclusive the old school hardcores, though. Like people want to feel like they did when they loved wrestling the most, so they want those elements everywhere and if they aren't there, they won't bother. I have problems with WWE and AEW but I'm so happy they're different and can, at times, fill gaps the other company can't or won't.
