Cover songs only Youtube megadump

I don't even know what I posted in this thread years ago, but I'm sure it wasn't as good as the best cover of all time

Always liked this version of the song, but the Damned's 80s material is largely blech.

OK OK now really ignore all the other stuff I said was the best - THIS is the best cover song.

Dollyrots doing a pretty neat cover of Offspring's "Come Out and Play"

I'm torn here: everyone knows I love teal, but these covers are shit.

It's funny how Weezer reinvented themselves as the "self-aware dad rock band that tries to hard". I love their first two albums, can tolerate a song or two from several records after but can't bring myself to listen to anything they've done in the past decade or so.

I found this off of a random Youtube recommendation a few years back. I always thought it was kind of cool.

Not sure if anyone will listen. But I’ve always loved this version of Roky Erickson’s “I Had To Tell You.” It’s by a group called Poi Dog Pondering. I looked up some of their other music and it was totally not for me. But my dad played “Where the Pyramid Meets the Eye” Roky Erickson tribute album somewhat regularly on long ride and I heard this one a bunch. I recently found the cd while cleaning up in the basement. Probably my favorite tribute album.

Under 800 YouTube views for this song. Feels like a shame.

The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy updated Californa Uber Alles back in 1992 as a cover for a Dead Kennedys album and it's awesome stuff.

Dave Grohl covering Elastica's "Connection" as part of his Hanukkah cover series! It's awesome
