Elon Musk's Twitter aka Elon is a father who gets lots of sex

Is anyone else getting a lot of MAGA chud nonsense in their feed? Everytime I open the app I'm subjected to Matt Walsh, Nick Adams, and Libs of Tik Tok douchery. I don't think I follow any (openly) conservatives or republican adjacent accounts so wondering if this is Musk's Twitter at work.
 
Are you getting set to 'For you' instead of 'Following'? The website started doing it to me weeks ago but the app didn't until I fucked up and updated it this week. The app used to do that a lot and take you from 'Latest' to 'Home', but it didn't do it every single time you opened the app, and Twitter wasn't actively supporting neo-nazis so it wasn't nearly as bad when it did it in the past.

If you switch to 'Following' you should get just tweets and re-tweets from people you follow, though I'm fully expecting Elon to find a way to ruin that any day now. But if you complain about it you're just an intolerant loser trying to live in an echo chamber. Or something.
 
“Following” is not giving you only those you follow either. And yes, I am getting a lot of MAGA stuff. However, I believe it is because I have picked up a larger (still small) following over the past few months because I have a local-flavor podcast, and 75-80% of the population here is MAGA. So the algorithm is showing me the things they follow in my feed.
 
i just the boards twitter as my twitter and even though almost everyone on the board leans left that just means I get @tekcop or brody retweeting crazy shit. Which don't get me wrong, I love. There was a couple people I had to put on mute because that actually did go off the deep eend though.
 
I find that it happens on any site I go to based on articles I read or conversations I have on sites even if they're totally off my browser. I can be talking about something in Slack and then go on twitter and it'll be showing me shit about it.
 
Engineers were threatened with termination if they couldn't fix the 'problem,' and the eventual solution was to add a multiplier of 1,000 to Musk's tweets so they were scored higher than any other tweets and 'won' the algorithm basically.

He also fired an engineer last week who suggested there was nothing wrong with the system and interest in Musk had just naturally been declining. We live in the stupidest timeline.

Replacing the Twitter logo in the top left corner of the desktop version with the Dogecoin dog is stupid, but harmless. But now I’m getting tweets from people I don’t follow stuffed into my Following feed too? Fuck all the way off, Elon.
