BB16: Double Eviction #2

The game is inching closer to the next eviction, and Nicole is still irritated. She’s on the block again and she feels like no one gives a damn about her feelings. Nicole is also mad at Caleb and thinks he’s a wimp for not making a bold move. Of course, it’s in her best interests for someone to deviate from the predictable script.

Caleb was considering backdooring Frankie, but opted not to. He told Frankie about the plan because he didn’t want someone to tell Frankie about it behind his back. Caleb threw Cody under the bus, saying it was more of his plan because he had Nicole in his pocket. Frankie went to Derrick to get more information. Derrick tried convincing Frankie that the backdoor plan wasn’t really serious, but Frankie still had his doubts.

Frankie and Caleb spoke again on better terms, which frustrated Cody. He didn’t understand Caleb’s blind loyalty to Frankie, and why he needed to divulge that information about the alternative plan. In any event, Cody and Derrick’s long-term goal was to get Frankie out before he had the chance to get one of them out.

Right before the live vote, Nicole tried one last appeal and asked everyone to shake up the game for once. Her efforts were in vain however, as the houseguests voted 4-0 to evict her. During the post-eviction interview, Nicole said she had a hard time getting her head back in the game when she returned to the house. On her relationship with Hayden, Nicole said they both admitted that they liked each other. She hoped Cody or Christine would follow her straight to the jury house after the double eviction.

Since this was a double eviction episode, it was time to jump right into the next HOH competition. This one was called “What The Bleep?”. Each round contained a video with a statement said by an evicted houseguest. Every statement had one word bleeped out.   Julie then gave everyone a word that possibly filled in the sentence. It was up to the players to determine whether the given word was true or false.

In a shocker, the competition ended in the very first round! The first word was false, but everyone answered true except Derrick (ironically, the question was about Donny). Derrick was the new HOH, but he didn’t exactly seemed thrilled about it. He had been content with staying under the radar, but now he would have to get blood on his hands (there’s that phrase again). He also wouldn’t be able to compete in the next HOH competition, which is sure to be a key one.

Derrick only had a few moments to consult with everyone individually. He ended up picking Christine and Victoria as his nominees. Derrick, always the politician, said it was  nothing personal and that he was simply going with “the house”. Well, the house majority’s goal was to evict Christine. Frankie being named the replacement nominee was the backup plan if it came down to that.

The veto competition was “Mazed And Confused”. The houseguests had to navigate a ball through three unique crop circle mazes. At the end, the sensor would go off and the veto winner would be crowned. On paper, this could’ve been anyone’s game to win. But Frankie shut down the competition by getting his ball through the mazes in little time. Christine and Caleb were the next fastest, but the gap was pretty wide between them and Frankie.

Frankie didn’t have much time before decided what to do with the POV. He chose not to use, which meant Victoria and Christine were still on the block. It was clear what was going to happen next. By a vote of 3-0, Christine was evicted from the Big Brother house. Cody seemed particularly upset about voting for her eviction. There were no goodbyes, as Christine opted to storm past everyone and walk right out the door. When Christine got to the stage, she was greeted with a chorus of boos from the live audience.

Julie didn’t address the boos with Christine, but anyone who followed the show knew why Christine wasn’t so popular. She talked behind everyone’s back, insulting most of the houseguests along the way. Her constant flirtations with Cody despite being married didn’t endear herself to the crowd either. Christine tried to shrug off the boos, but you could tell that they got to her.

Christine said that she saw her eviction coming. She just wasn’t going to win out by being in the boys’ club (Donny warned her about that, by the way). Getting involved with Nicole didn’t help her case either. She knew that Victoria stayed because she wasn’t a threat to anyone. Christine regretted not sticking with her other alliance with Hayden and Nicole. When questioned about Cody, Christine said they were just great friends. She thought he was funny and had a great personality. Christine didn’t harbor any ill feelings towards Cody for not voting in her favor.

Julie announced that BB legends Jeff and Jordan would soon give the houseguests a surprise announcement. Julie also had another twist to give. The Big Brother Rewind was now in play. If the BB Rewind button was pressed, the next live eviction would stop dead in its tracks. The game would then “rewind” and the current week would be replayed. This would save whoever was on the block, at least for the time being. The current houseguests were shown the button, but were only left to speculate on what it was.
