BB16: Live Eviction #13

Cody feels about as safe as one could possibly be while being on the block, but is wary of the fact that there are only two voters. If for some reason Caleb flips, Frankie would cast the tie-breaking vote. Cody could be the one going home in that situation. Frankie saw the appeal of someone taking Victoria to the final two, considering she had no juice in the game. Derrick continued to support Victoria and feed her ego in preparation for any scenario. Either she would be a jury vote for him, or she could continue to help him in the house.

A message was displayed in the house indicating that the next live show would be a day earlier than usual. The houseguests were freaking out because it deviated from the script plus they knew it had to involve the button. By now, everyone was convinced that the mystery gold button would dramatically change the game. Cody, Caleb, and Derrick encouraged each other to stay focused on getting Frankie out no matter what the twist was though.

Derrick continued his quest of pitting all the other players against each other. He suggested to Frankie that it may not be in his best interests to take Caleb or Cody to the final two with him, since they were legitimate threats to win. Frankie knew it was Derrick being strategic, but it didn’t mean he was wrong. But, Frankie also wasn’t convinced that Derrick wasn’t a threat. Maybe, just maybe, someone is finally wising up to Derrick’s schemes.

More work was done by Derrick to get the others off his scent. He knew that everyone viewed him and Victoria as close allies. So Derrick hatched a plan with Victoria to convince everyone else that they were fighting. The story was that Derrick told Victoria he wouldn’t vote for her to stay. Victoria feigned being upset, to the point of even crying crocodile tears to Frankie.

We got to see more footage from the jury house. The jurors seemed to be having a good time, as they recorded “hollas” to send to Derrick and celebrated Zach’s birthday (even giving him a new pink hat as a gift). The jurors were disappointed that Nicole was evicted again but were happy to see her. Everyone was hoping for Christine to be the next person to walk through that jury house door.
Sure enough, they got their wish. The others didn’t hide their disdain for Christine, giving her the cold shoulder. At that point, Christine realized that she screwed up big-time. The jurors discussed the ongoing game. They acknowledged that Derrick was playing a great strategic game, but also pointed out Frankie’s strong social game and efforts in competitions.

Back at the Big Brother house, the live eviction was set to take place. But when Derrick was about to enter the door to vote, the alarms went of and the lights started flashing. It was time for the BB Rewind to go into effect. Julie told the houseguests about the twist and how it would negate everything that happened in the last week. The houseguests  would have to redo the HOH competition (minus Derrick who was still the outgoing HOH). Cody also had to put the dinosaur suit back on. Everyone had a few minutes to prepare.

In the meantime, Big Brother legend Dan Gheesling joined Julie on stage to talk about the current cast. He was surprised that no one in the main alliance had turned yet, but believed Frankie would the first to do so. He said Frankie could be affected the most by the rewind twist. When asked about the comparisons to Derrick, Dan said he was cheering for Derrick and appreciated his 24/7 approach to playing the game. He did say that Derrick needed to finish the job and win though. He thought Derrick might have a tough time explaining his entire game to the jury with just a few minutes to work with.

Finally, it was time to crown a new HOH. The “Seed Saw” game was replayed, which might’ve given an advantage to Frankie, who won this game on the first go-around. In the beginning, the race was more even, but Frankie was still in first. The water came pouring down just as the live CBS broadcast was ending. But, we were able to learn later on that Caleb won the competition and was the new HOH. It remains to be seen if he will make a big move, or will stick to the same nominees that Frankie had named.
