WWE Superstars – 7/11/2013

WWE Superstars – 7/4/2013

Make it move, make it move, make a million dollar move.

The Prime Time Players are coming to the ring.

This week, Tony Dawson is joined by R-Truth instead of A-Ry.  I heard A-Ry will be moving to NXT starting with the latest set of tapings (which I think are about a month or so from airing still).

Justin Gabriel and his new longer hair is out next.

Tonight will be D-Young in a singles match

Darren Young vs. Justin Gabriel

Tony Dawson highlights Gabriel is excited about WWE’s upcoming tour of his home, South Africa as Justin takes early control.  We find out Justin will go swimming with sharks, something R-Truth is not fond of.

As Mr. No Days Off starts to get a rhythm, Justin takes control when, as R-Truth puts it, he “knocks his face off his face”.

Darren Young whips his former Nexus partner but Gabriel breaks the stride and howls.

Darren takes control and gets on top of Gabriel, mounting some punches.  Each punch he lands, Titus blows the whistle.  He really should do that each and every match, even ones the PTP are not in.

Young has Justin down and out, so Titus taunts R-Truth a little bit.  As Young starts to get a little too confident, Gabriel mounts some of his kicking offense and does some flips and spin kicks to take control.  Gabriel hits a nice dive off the second rope for a two-count.

The two men counter each others power moves before Gabriel does a springboard kick and goes up top.  As he gets to the top, Titus runs distraction but Gabriel sheds him and his a springboard 450 off the ring ropes for the victory!

Winner: Justin Gabriel

Awesome spot to finish a competitive little match.  Sad thing Gabriel doesn’t even get a showcase on the main shows to display this.  Before we go to break, Gabriel shows off his version of the Primetime Players dance, which is slightly more Carlton Banks.

I hope, despite the match, these two never forget the bond they have of having their first ever action figures paired together.

The first recap segment of the week is running down Cena-Henry.  After the few minutes of wrap-up, we get hype segments for the Vickie Guerrero segment replay and the Wyatt debut.

Back from commercial, we get a graphic hyping the Tag Title match of the pre-show, which they attribute to Vickie, before bringing on the replay of her segment with the McMahon Holy Trinity.

The segment airs from around when Vince tells her he wants her to be permanent through him naming Maddox GM.  The shock of Maddox is what they use to transition straight into Wyatt stuff.

A quick ad for Dead Man Down, now on Blu-ray combo pack, airs.

Cesaro’s music hits and he comes out in a We The People shirt, followed by Swagger and Colter.

Zeb gets on the mic and talks about all the languages the foreigners are using on the streets and all the schemes they are concocting.  Zeb blames the crowd for the issues this country faces and starts hyping how Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro will right America’s direction by their actions at Sunday’s Money in the Bank.

As Zeb tries to get the crowd to pledge, WOO WOO WOO interrupts and the crowd erupts for Zack Ryder.  Tony Dawson calls him the former Long Island Iced Z.  I didn’t know the more “serious” Ryder meant he no longer carried one of his nicknames.

Antonio Cesaro vs. Zack Ryder

Cesaro takes early control until Ryder throws in a diving clothesline.  Cesaro is a little thrown off and goes out of the ring to collect himself.  Cesaro, Swagger and Colter huddle as this matches heads to commercial.

Back from break, Ryder is holding Cesaro’s leg.  He tries to escape but Zack ties his arm up.  Cesaro suddenly gets Ryder back in the ropes and Ryder knocks him away.  Trying to mount more offense, Ryder dives at Cesaro.  Antonio ducks and Zack flies to the outside.

Outside the ring, Cesaro collects Ryder and lifts him over his head to throw him into the second rope.  Back in the ring, after a failed pin attempt, Cesaro jumps to stomp on Ryder’s chest before riling up the crowd with some taunting.

Ryder up but Cesaro tosses him again before lifting him for a big gutwrench suplex.

Antonio follows it up with a submission where he twists Ryder’s leg while standing on his head.  Cesaro lifts Zack up for a suplex but Ryder slides down and nails a neckbreaker.  Zack up to the second rope and hits a missile dropkick.

Zack goes to charge Cesaro, who nails him to end the momentum.

Cesaro signals his frustration and goes for his chinlock, until Ryder breaks free.  Antonio finds himself lined up for a Broski Boot.  Zack connects but only gets a two count.

Cesaro scrambles to the outside and Ryder does a somersault dive on him to the outside.

As Zack gets Cesaro back in the ring, Swagger runs enough distraction for Ryder to find himself in the swinging sleeper.  Ryder is out cold.

Antonio turns him around and lifts the knocked out Ryder up for a Neutralizer.

Winner: Antonio Cesaro

Zeb and Swagger enters the ring, where Zeb hands Antonio the flag to drape on Zack once more.  After replays air, the trio stands above the fallen Ryder shouting We the People.

TOTAL DIVAS PROMO!  “THIS IS, LIKE, OUR CALLING, SAYS A BELLA!

Seeing I write up the lesser watched WWE programming, I will need to resist the urge to get into Total Divas.

As this was aired Thursday, we hear to check WWE.com for Kane updates, to see if he will make the Money in the Bank All-Stars.

Punk-Orton from Monday is joined in progress.  The end of RAW is used to wrap up this week’s show.
