According to Meltzer, WWE is actually going to be lowering ticket prices, at least through the summer. So seats will now be $145 for the cheapest seat as opposed to $150.
 
LOL, as soon as WWE heard the complaints about Royce Keys being stuck in dark match purgatory, they decide to book his Smackdown debut for this Friday.

 
I don’t want to say there’s a MAKING A DIFFERENCE energy to this but uh, i hope he enjoys success after finding out he’s much older than he used to be before he got a nice contract.

According to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE has reworked some of the plans for SmackDown following the reaction to the Pat McAfee, Cody Rhodes, and Randy Orton angle. Additional outside involvement had been speculated, with Jelly Roll among the names discussed. WWE is said to have gone back to the drawing board to assess any possibilities regarding the story going forward.

Goldberg BREAKING THE SCRIPT and some of the other WCW 2000 bullshit was kind of funny though. This McAfee promo was just boring to me mostly.

Funny now, but then? Like less funny but definitely amusing and translated to nothing, which is where WWE seems to be.

The build to Punk/McAfee is better than Punk/Roman and Cody/Orton combined.
 
I still found some of that WCW shit funny as a 12 year old tbh. More in a what are they thinking way though.
 
McAfee straight up said Night 2 was ass and you shouldn't watch it. And, that's not even including the fact that only Americans care about or know who McAfee is. WWE is supposed to be a global brand, so having one of the main celebs at WM be this guy is so weird to me. At least Jelly Roll has that awful World Cup song to make him known to the rest of the world.

This might be one of the five worst segments to ever air on WWE television, and the promo had that drawn out WWE style slow talking that I hate so much too.

SAS self reported that TKO/ESPN asked him to get involved before they went to McAfee and concluded he didn’t want to because he knew what the response would be.

Cody and Rhea are doing media hits saying everything is a shit show with TKO.

I dunno it seems like the other TKO company does just fine. This is something a person says when you really feel like you're under pressure to lose your job tbh.


I do also think that his ideas have run their course and it's time for someone else to get a turn. The really bad sounding stuff that happened this WM season happened as emergencies because his booking couldn't get people into seats.
 
In a complete contrast just within their own ecosystem, you have Undertaker of all people having an absolute pulse on the AAA market and hitting the right buttons and everything over there is super hot and they created new top shelf stars and there is a real buzz for that promotion.

Of course there is a more hands off and unbothered presence from TKO for that brand and Hunter has the double edged sword of losing his own creative juice (if he ever really had it, appears in question) and the corporate interests of TKO.

They are probably closer to finding a Jim Herd level hiring from TKO when they naturally make HHH the scapegoat, quite possibly, they’ll go the predictable route and plug Dwayne’s piss bottle handler for that position.
