It's widely expected that Fernando Mendoza (Indiana) will be the 1st player taken but there's a lot of interesting competition for the Top 5 overall.

Players like RB Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame), DE/OLB Reuben Bain Jr (Miami), OT Spencer Fano (Utah), QB Ty Simpson (Alabama) if he declares, QB Dante Moore (Oregon) if he declares, WR Jordyn Tyson (Arizona State), WR Carnell Tate (Ohio State) are all names to watch as the pre-draft unfolds.

Some early QB Declarations include Tommy Castellanos (Florida State) and Jalon Daniels (Kansas).

Dante Moore has decided to stay in college avoiding any potential of being drafted by the JETS.

I think this is a misstep by Moore, but I like the fact he has the option and can still make good money for another year.

Eagles senior defensive assistant / defensive line coach Clint Hurtt will lead the National team as head coach, while Saints associate head coach / running backs coach Joel Thomas will serve as head coach of the American team for the 2026 Senior Bowl.

Harley's 2026 QB Rankings: What an underwhelming class. It's Mendoza, Simpson, and a bunch of dudes. I'd take several of the 2025 mid-rounders as my 3rd or 4th QB in this class.

1: Fernando Mendoza (Indiana) 6'5" 236 1x01 Las Vegas Raiders
2: Ty Simpson (Alabama) 6'1" 211 1x13 Los Angeles Rams
3: Sawyer Robertson (Baylor) 6'4" 216 – Really good arm. Some Drake Maye vibes.
4: Joey Aguilar (Tennessee) 6'3" 229
5: Drew Allar (Penn State) 6'5" 228 – Stronger arm than given credit for. Upside with right pro system. 3x12 Pittsburgh Steelers
6: Haynes King (Georgia Tech) 6'2" 212 – Legit sleeper IMO. More known for his speed but has a good arm too. Kind of overlooked.
7: Carson Beck (Miami) 6'5" 233 3x01 Arizona Cardinals
8: Taylen Green (Arkansas) 6'6" 227 6x01 Cleveland Browns
9: Cole Payton (North Dakota State) 6'3" 232 – Backup QB vibes but looks like a pro QB. LH.
10: Cade Klubnik (Clemson) 6'2" 207 – Underwhelming watch. I feel like his name gets him passes in the draftnik community. 4x10 New York Jets
11: Garrett Nussmeier (LSU) 6'2" 203 – Big program, name but I don’t know if his arm is strong enough. Reminds me of classic mid-level LSU QBs of the past. 7x33 Kansas City Chiefs
12: Behren Morton (Texas Tech) 6'2" 221 – Definitely influenced by Patrick Mahomes. Prototype mid-00s Texas Tech QB… good enough college arm and release but low-end NFL traits. Wouldn't surprise me if he does nothing or ends up sticking around and doing better than some of the higher names though. 7x18 New England Patriots
13: Luke Altmayer (Illinois) 6'2" 210
14: Miller Moss (Louisville)
15: Joe Fagnano (Connecticut) 6'3" 226
16: Kyron Drones (Virginia Tech)
17: Diego Pavia (Vanderbilt) 5'10" 207 – Too short IMO (measured 5’10” at Senior Bowl), not special enough like a Kyler Murray.
18: Jalon Daniels (Kansas) 6'1" 219

QB Taylen Green just ran a 4.36 40 with a 43.5" Vertical 🤩

16: Kaelon Black (Indiana) 3x26 San Francisco 49ers
17: Eli Heidenreich (Navy). May get shifted to WR at the NFL level. 7x14 Pittsburgh Steelers

Do you think Love, Price, Washington will be the only RB's taken in the first 3 rounds?

I can see Singleton, Johnson, and Claiborne sneaking into Round 3. Singleton's the most questionable because he's recovering from injury. Johnson (running 4.4 to 4.51 at his Pro Day) and Claiborne (ran a 4.37 at his Pro Day) probably solidified themselves as mid to late 3rd Rounders.

Adam Randall's a converted WR who is built like a TE (6'3" 232 at the NFL Combine) with 4.5 speed. I just wasn't impressed with his tape tbh so I'm way, way lower on him than most it seems. He could be a dark horse 3rd Round candidate but I just don't see him sticking in the NFL long term as a RB... he should've shifted to TE at his size and speed and still think that could be where he winds up down the road. Best case scenario is he's Brandon Jacobs (who had 2 years of 1K rushing and just 2 other years over 800 rushing while notably being part of a tandem with Tiki Barber).

Harley's WR Rankings
1: Jordyn Tyson (Arizona State) – Beast. If he had a better college QB he’d be a runaway 1st WR on boards IMO. 1x08 New Orleans Saints
2: Carnell Tate (Ohio State) 1x04 Tennessee Titans
3: KC Concepcion (Texas A&M) – Legit field speed, though I like Tate’s game more overall. 1x24 Cleveland Browns
4: Omar Cooper Jr (Indiana) 1x30 New York Jets
5: Denzel Boston (Washington) – Mike Evans/Vincent Jackson vibes in a good way. 2x07 Cleveland Browns
6: Makai Lemon (USC) – I feel like I’m down on him more than most draftniks. 1x20 Philadelphia Eagles
7: Elijah Sarratt (Indiana) – Puka Nakua vibes. Smooth. 4x15 Baltimore Ravens
8: Brenen Thompson (Mississippi State) – Short but a pure vertical threat. One of the few legitimate burners in this class in terms of deep field speed. 4x05 Los Angeles Chargers
9: Zachariah Branch (Georgia) – Slot WR but he’ll be fun to watch on Sundays. Very boom or bust. 3x15 Atlanta Falcons
10: Eric McAlister (TCU)
11: De’Zhaun Stribling (Ole Miss) – Strong Terrell Owens/Kayshon Boutte vibes. Very underrated by the mainstream media. 2x01 San Francisco 49ers
12: Germie Bernard (Alabama) 2x15 Pittsburgh Steelers
13: Malachi Fields (Notre Dame) 3x10 New York Giants
14: Chris Bell (Louisville) 3x30 Miami Dolphins
15: Ted Hurst (Georgia State) 3x20 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
16: Chris Brazzell II (Tennessee) 3x19 Carolina Panthers
17: Eric Rivers (Georgia Tech)
18: Antonio Williams (Clemson) 3x07 Washington Commanders
19: Kevin Coleman Jr (Missouri) 5x37 Miami Dolphins
20: Reggie Virgil (Texas Tech) 5x03 Arizona Cardinals
21: Josh Cameron (Baylor) 6x10 Jacksonville Jaguars
22: Skyler Bell (UConn) 4x25 Buffalo Bills
23: Deion Burks (Oklahoma) 7x38 Indianapolis Colts
24: Malik Benson (Oregon) 6x14 Las Vegas Raiders
25: Bryce Lance (North Dakota State) 4x36 New Orleans Saints
26: Jordan Hudson (SMU) – Another guy I’m higher on than most. I think he can outperform his draft slot if he goes Round 6-UDFA.
27: Kendrick Law (Kentucky) 5x28 Detroit Lions
28: Jeff Caldwell (Cincinnati)
29: Vinny Anthony II (Wisconsin)
30: Zavion Thomas (LSU) 3x25 Chicago Bears
31: Barion Brown (LSU) 6x09 New Orleans Saints
32: Tyren Montgomery (John Carroll)
33: Ja’Kobi Lane (USC) 3x16 Baltimore Ravens

Not a lot of surprises necessarily in Round 1 (except maybe the Chiefs trading up for CB Mansoor Delane at 6). Lot of OL went, which was to be expected as there's reportedly a steep drop off tier wise going into Day 2. Lot of teams wheeling and dealing, acquiring mid-round picks in the 120-150 range which always indicates to me where they see the value + talent mixture.

Largely due to the OL, some guys slid more than expected IMO (Bain at 15, Concepcion to 24, Thieneman to 25).

Round 3 finally saw some QBs go (to Arizona and Pitt respectively) and WRs also started going off the board more too. Some good names still available but also it speaks to how dire the RB class is on the whole after Love/Price that none of the 3 guys I thought went in Round 3.

I'll also say the Dolphins reaching for WR Caleb Douglas is a classic Dolphins move. It feels like they are always trying to prove they are the smartest team in the room (like the Ravens, 49ers, Rams) but aren't the smartest team in the room.
