A signing that's about 8 years overdue. He had hit his ceiling in NJPW awhile ago so glad he ended up somewhere stateside.

Is he the comedian who did that MSG nazi rally that resonated with so many voters?

A post PPV comedy show? I thought that was called AEW Media Scrum.

i gave up on Cena's big heel promo after about 8 minutes. It felt like his version of a HHH promo to me. Just saying the same thing in different ways over and over. I feel like almost all of the very best promos were no more than 5 minutes long.

Watching now. Amazing how locked in this crowd is for this promo. Belgium has three official languages, and English isn’t one of them.

Like, it's like that scene in A Christmas Story only the crowd is Skut Farkus and Cena is hyperventilatingly-angry Ralphie.

Cena's promo was good but couldn't live up to expectations. Somewhat fake, but that's par for the course for him. Felt Jerichoesque. Not the best Jericho (2008) or the worst Jericho (whatever he's doing now in AEW) but that period where he was always calling people sanctimonious sons of bitches. Certainly wasn't Rock in '03.

It was played in the wrong direction. Needed to be Total Divas Cena.

I thought this too, play "D Stokes" or whatever his frat dude thing was. Be an unapologetic bro and all "I didn't care about none'a them kids! You've seen my house on TV, I'm here to get paid!"

Instead it was a "you people" promo which was fine and done as well as it could have been but it felt weird to hear Cena having a bitchfit.

The more i think about it, the worse I think it is. It felt like he's been practicing this for at least 15 years, and it doesn't fit the story anymore. He cuts this with Rock in 2010 or something, it's a success. Now, he's a middle aged guy dressed like a little kid throwing a tantrum with an audience who isn't the same. Even just on the level of a lapsed fan or someone watching because they're not as familiar beyond Cena being a superhero, this did nothing to make me want to see him or the match.

Heyman is carny to the core. Expect nothing of any serious morality.

It doesn't connect. Like with Rock, it feels like they're playing a part instead of being real.

I'm serious about the Vinceisms though. Like lean into him being stuck in 2012 Ruthless Aggression verbiage and attitudes. Let him insult "fans" with "belts" to defend the universe and their titles.

Meltz seems to implying that Mania plans have changed again which is why Cena did not mention the Rock in his promo on Monday.

If I were to make a list of one-time champion tag teams to induct into the Hall of Fame, I'm not sure that the Natural Disasters would make my top ten.

Power And Glory should go in if The Natural Disasters can get in.

Although, it feels more like a John Tenta induction than The Natural Disasters, so I can't complain too much. Earthquake definitely deserves a spot in the WWE Hall Of Fame if some of the other names can make it. He was apart of the biggest WWF angle of 1990 when he squashed Hulkamania and sent that shit to the hospital.

Tenta deserves it, wholeheartedly. To say otherwise is incorrect. They also want to induct Uncle Fred and that's fine too (honestly given how much mileage they've gotten from the Shockmaster, he's earned it in his own way). But Tenta is one of the major faces of a specific era, worked everywhere, and no one has anything really bad to say about.

The WWE Hall Of Fame means literally nothing beyond rewarding people for playing ball, anyway.
