The personnel on Kind of Blue is a who's-who of Jazz for the next decades to come. I love it, but it barely breaks my top five for Miles, which says more about the other four albums than it does that one.

It's just cloying and dainty. Illinois is not dainty, except maybe Barrington. You can take vibes, an acoustic, and a children's choir and write songs about anyplace.
