Well, the show is over. I am completely blown away. Great show. Wish I could have saw them when Layne was still around, but William Duvall did a great job.

I know right? One of the best live shows I've ever been to was from their last tour.. can't wait until this one stops by Toronto. :)

Funny thing was Jerry Cantrell busting balls while presenting the band halfway through the set. He kept asking Mike to say hello to the crowd, and he would wave but not say anything. Jerry kept egging him on with COME ON MIKE, SAY HELLO TO THE PEOPLE! Mike would stand there with his arms crossed, and shake his head no. Jerry then said "he's been playing with us for 20 years, and will play on stage in front of thousands, but will not speak to a crowd. I don't understand it."

Jerry spoke very fondly of Layne and Mike Starr toward the end of the set and looked like he was about to cry.

All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening, and I'd like to see them come nearby again.

I'm not all that crazy about the new album. It's got some good moments ("Scalpel" and "Choke" in particular), but a lot of it just sounds like "Black Give Way to Blue" B-Sides. Also, while I'm all for jabs at fundamentalists, calling your album "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here" is just lame.

It's not bad. On par with the last one, at least, IMO.. and that's fine. I really don't like the album title either, but mostly because it just doesn't flow as an album name, and is kinda long. Then again, I'm probably just used to old AIC one-word album titles. ;)

Saw AiC in Montreal a couple weeks back. Amazing show, as always.. though, this is the third time I've seen the "new" iteration of the band live, it was probably their best performance for me. They're really gelling together and hitting their stride as a band without their iconic vocalist.

Yeah, this tour has been a big hit for them. A lot of their harsher critics are starting to come around on their live show now. I don't think I want to see them with Korn this summer, though.

Yeah I passed on that one. Was never into Korn and can't justify the rate for good tickets.
