CBS just cancelled something called Angels from Hell.

That was a Jane Lynch show they ran some ads for. Think my parents were going to watch it but it looked awful

The Good Wife will be ending after this current season. The Emmys go out of their way to give this show every nomination they cam, but I've still yet to meet anyone personally that says they watch it.
Julie Chen probably liked the show.

Wow, he was an FBI agent a lot longer than he was a vampire with a soul.

It amazes me that it's lasted so long. I didn't think the first season was all that good. It did get better, so good for them.

I won't even front, I watched Bones. The funny thing about that show is that I remember watching one season, and thinking, "This show is going to go on about a year too long."

That was five years ago.

BTW, apparently the final season is only going to be 12 episodes. At least they get to wrap it up on their own terms. I've only ever seen a few episodes here and there.. I should check it out at some point.

Yeah, that seems typical of shows that have hit the syndication number nowadays.

I think that was about when Sweets died, right?

Person of Interest is now officially cancelled. Final 13 episodes will air within a 7 week stretch.

I'm just glad they get to wrap it up, as this was pretty well known for a while now. Great show that not enough people watched.

I found Ben Linus so obnoxious on Lost that it made me never want to see Michael Emerson in anything ever again.

Yes I know that is dumb reasoning, but it was a while ago.. maybe I should revisit and check out POI.

It was weird. The viewership was there when it was "number of the week", but I think that once they changed days/times and went into the arcs with HR/Elias/The Brotherhood and The Machine/Samaritan they lost the casual viewers.

But in any event, the writing team was already treating this as the final season, so I'm assuming we'll get a resolution to things... and I'm not expecting it to be a happy ending.

Nashville, The Muppets, Castle, and Agent Carter all cancelled by ABC.

I am extremely happy to hear that, because they were talking about bringing Castle back for Season 9, without Stana Katic, which I can't imagine could possibly be any good.

Really bummed about Agent Carter, though.

Fox cancelled Grandfathered, The Grinder, Bordertown, and Cooper Barrett.

I loved Grandfathered and The Grinder, but both had low ratings so I'm not surprised.

Castle being cancelled is a good call even if Stana wasn't leaving I think. I really enjoyed the show for the first several seasons but I got bored with it after they got together and it became more serious and less goofy humor.

ABC also cancelled "Galavant"

Anyways, some quick thoughts

-I wasn't able to see as many episodes as I would have wanted to, but "The Grinder" was easily one of the better new sitcoms. A shame nobody watched it.

-I tried to watch "Bordertown", but it was fucking awful. Good riddance. Same with "Cooper Barrett"

-It feels weird to be indifferent about the cancellation of a show called "The Muppets", but such is the world we now live in. Also, it wasn't very good.

-"Nashville" had a good run in spite of the fact that it rarely seemed to be a big ratings hit.

-How did "Galavant" get a second season? Same with "CSI Cyber"

So disappointed with Grinder. Became one of my favorites. Not sure if they could've kept stretching the premise but the writing was more inventive than I expected at points in the series.

Grandfathered wasn't great but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Watched Cooper Barrett but never really cared about it so eh.

Only other one was Galavant, which Season Two had many self-effacing jokes about their fate anyway. I still think that one could go on Netflix or somewhere and be a better cult hit than ABC steamrolling through the episodes. They did promote the hell out of Season 1 for no results but it is one of those things I know people who would like it if they realized it existed.

I liked the new Muppets. It struggled a bit to find its way at first, but it got into a good groove as the season went on. Too bad about it and Agent Carter.

Seems like I've been getting into a lot of one off shows lately.

Just to echo on The Grinder and Grandfathered those were excellent and terrible they were not given a second season. I liked The Muppets well enough but it seemed like a hard thing to attract adult viewers in 2016 for it on the scale a network would want.

I can't co-sign that, hoss. I thought that the show continued to be good, until they changed showrunners. Not only did three of my Top 10 favorite episodes come after the leads hooked up, "Veritas" is my favorite episode of the series.

The problem with shows like these, in my opinion, doesn't have anything to do with the resolving of the UST, which is a complaint I hear all the time, and never agree with. As I see it, the problem is that the creators of the show somehow end up making 100+ episodes when, realistically, they only had about 75 episodes worth of story to tell. If shows were allowed to end organically, instead of being propped up because they get ratings, there would be much fewer occurrences of shows getting stale.

I'll say this, though: "Hollander's Woods" would have been the perfect episode to end this series on. So, of course, they ran the show for a full season after that.
