Yeah I'm surprised "Rebel" got cancelled. ABC hyped the hell out of it and Katey Sagal was everywhere promoting it.

I find it impossible to believe that the decision to cancel a show after five episodes is based solely on ratings.

Never watched and I don't know the ratings but I thought that was a pretty well-liked show, My mom certainly couldn't stop raving about it.

Are they going to get to finish out the season?
Apparently not. NetFlix was a producer, and they have no interest in renewing it. So unless someone decides “fuck it” and decides to give it a final season on Peacock (highly unlikely) then the answer is no. I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did, as it’s ratings were usually pretty bad.

I was talking about the episodes they'd already finished filming: they took a hiatus (I presume for hockey?), and just resumed the season last night. You didn't post a link but, according to the Hollywood Reporter article I found, it appears as though they will get to air the episodes they've already shot.

HBO cancelled "Lovecraft Country".

Also, Netflix cancelled a bunch of shows I had no idea existed in "The Crew" (something with Kevin James), "Dad Stop Embarrassing Me" (Jamie Foxx had a new sitcom?), "Jupiter's Legacy", "Mr. Iglesias", "Bonding" and "Country Comfort"

Now I can do the Trilogy of Kevin with all 146 seasons of King Of Queens, the cancelled too soon Kevin Can Wait, and this hilarious Nascar comedy.

Batwoman cancelled after 3 seasons. Shocked it survived Ruby Rose leaving for two extra seasons.

Space Force also cancelled after 2 seasons.

I know people criticize/make fun of Netflix canceling shows, but did anyone actually like “Space Force”? I tried to give it a shot, and I was amazed at how dull it was.

I watched a few episodes and it was pretty awful. It's like a Christopher Guest movie where they forgot to add jokes. I was amazed it even got a second season but I'm guessing Netflix was like "Look it's the same people who did The Office, it can't be this bad again!" then I guess it was.

Space Force had an episode where two of my favorite comedic actors (Carrell and Kaitlin Olson) were on screen together and I didn't laugh once. It was brutally unfunny.

I only watched the crossover episodes. Rose brought in her own fanbase, so I was just surprised they got two more years out of it after she was gone. I ended up dropping all CW stuff after Flash 7.
Is it possible that you misjudged the size of the fanbase that Ruby Rose brought/took with her? I mean, I admit to staying in my corner over here, but I didn't know who she was, before she was cast for this show, and her leaving had no impact on my decision to keep watching.

At any rate, I saw that Legends of Tomorrow also got canceled, which lends credence to something I've been hearing on the podcasts I check for, which is that CW may be liquidating their Vancouver-based shows, in favor of their Atlanta-based shows.
