The demo is available on PSN, and it's not the Kiosk Desk demo a lot of us have played. It's an actual section of the first chapter. It's pretty cool. There are a lot of neat things you can do in terms of stealth. Kinda surprised of how smooth the gameplay is. Movement is kinda awkward. Holding X to run is kinda dated, but overall, I'm glad I preordered it. The Xbox Live demo is supposedly out tomorrow.

The combat really "feels" right in the demo. I was planning on picking this up anyway...but this demo makes me even more excited.

Yeah, the 25th. Just two days after my 30th birthday!

One of the first things I'm going to do when I turn 30 is play a batman video game.

I'm never growing up.

Enjoyed the demo. It's actually in many ways a lot like Batman Begins, although presumably longer and of more substance. There seemed to be hints of being able to use the enemies' fear to gain an advantage, but I didn't see a way to use the environment against them (they freak out at steam pipes, but there doesn't seem to be much to interact with besides the grapple points and vents).

Holy crap though--those guns tear through you in a split second.

I'm not not feeling S&M Harley, though.

In the room with the 4 or 5 guys walking around with guns looking for you, there's some sort of central control room there with breakable glass. I'm not to sure how to break it though. I threw batarangs at it and it never broke, so I'm assuming you smash through it or something.

You can also hang those guys from the gargoyles, which spooks out the rest of the gunmen.

Little Tip: There's a Riddler's question mark trophy in the very first room you start off in. If you pull off the vent, it's in there.

I really had no interest in picking up the game, but after playing the demo, I have a feeling it will be a part of my collection in the not so distant future

I played the demo at a friends house last night. Holy fuck is it awesome.

But the "slow motion/zoom in final punch/kick" can be firmly placed in the "this will get old quickly" pile.

This game is crazy. Detective mode and scaring the shit out of people is awesome. You can even do a dragon sleeper.

Whoever found that code, I salute you for your awesomeness. We pre-ordered the game last night after hearing nothing but rave reviews for the demo (other than slow mo getting old).

Between this and Madden not sucking ass, this is turning out to be a good month for PS3 games.

Only thing I kinda dislike is how the interaction with the enviornments are very pre-set. It seemingly makes the game extremely linear(which is not necessarily a negative thing for some).

I wish you could interact with your surroundings a bit more. Like, just break stuff with the bat-a-rang for the hell of it. It seems like anytime you can interact with the surroundings it is specifically to get to the next spot.

Besides that gripe, I thought the demo was very fun.

Fly onto the glass. Wait for someone to walk underneath it.

Just got the game earlier today and its totally doda awsome. The demo is completely different to how the game starts out, instead of the glass ceiling building, you have to navigate over a "joker poisoned" room to activate the air ducts.

The first miniboss that was seen at the end of the demo is quite annoying, lots of dodging and running up and attacking when its back is turned.

ign reviewed it and it got a 9.3...which is pretty astounding since there's no online to extend the game.

I can't wait till Tuesday.

I Saw an ad for Fry's pricing the game for 49.99 on Tuesday when it comes out.

The storyline is quite good, but I think i know what the rumored "we needed permission from DC for the ending" is.

After you face Bane, you discover that Joker has been secretly paying a researcher in arkham to improve the VENOM, which he is planning to use to create an army of venom soldiers (the improvements = stronger and dont need a constant supply).. I think Joker is gonna rock the stuff in the final boss.

Cleared the game last night. The ending rushes you quite suddenly but the game is outstanding. There are hundreds of Riddler Challenges for you to discover throughout the game, and once the game is complete, you can load back into it to find them all.

Challenge mode is alright, nothing too special, just doing certain tasks for points for the online leader board.

Scratch any Amazon.ca discounts. This is probably the cheapest I've ever seen a new PS3 game on release date.. Futureshop & BestBuy (this is in Canada, mind you) have the game on for $39! No strings. No mail in rebates. No gimmicks. Just the game for $39 bucks! This also includes the 360 version! I just went down to FS at Yonge/Dundas Toronto and they had a ton in stock still (though BB had none and both stores websites are sold out). This sale is on til the 27th of August.

So whats the verdict? Is it worth the money for the game, or nothing that you can't play through in a week rental?

Eh, what can I say? I splurged and picked up the Collector's Edition yesterday. It comes with some PSN codes that you can redeem for some challenge rooms, and a lot of extra stuff. I haven't had a chance to sit down and play it yet, other than the half hour I spent on the Gamestop demo kiosk playing the full version of the game. Probably the last game I'll pick up for the next couple months.

I fucking love this game.

On one hand I'm very open about my Batman love...so any game that came out that was good I was bound to love...

On the other if the game were bad I would REALLY hate it.

So...I don't know...it's awesome.

Literally just beat the game. The game is really fucking good. I found about 75% of the Riddles and I'm about to go find the rest of them.
