An older Batman inevitably gets compared to The Dark Knight Returns. Not sure that Nolan wants to have that.

Probably doesn't want the pressure of trying to top what has been arguably called one of the greatest movies ever. I certainly wouldn't want that pressure.

Yeah batman-on-film is the most reliable source for Batman news. Surprisingly enough, there are a lot of forums that I have looked around at and many are supporting Megan Fox for the role. ??? That reminds me of the Crispin Glover for Joker supporters from a few years ago after Batman Begins came out.

Come to think of it, how the hell has Fox become such a media darling, anyway? The only thing I've ever seen her in was Transformers, and I assume that's the same with the majority of people. Looking at her resume, there's not much else on there that most people are even likely to have heard of, much less seen.

I don't understand it, either: Questionable acting ability, no screen presence whatsoever, and she's desperate to get herself over with this "Oh, aren't I edgy and not like any other actress in Hollywood" schtick (no, you're exactly like every other actress in Hollywood).

Granted, she's very beautiful. But, as Jessica Alba's career shows, that doesn't make you a draw at the box office.
