Pinnacle already has Death Triangle, based on Full Gear. Feels like that could be the last stop before putting MJF officially in the main event. Gimme some Darby/Sting/Triangle vs FTR/MJF/Wardlow though.

I don't want them to do something predictable. The match is booked already, there's no reason to WWE it by scotch-taping a feud onto it like that. Bryan wants the belt, Hangman wants to keep it. Now fight. You guys have no reason to like each other anyway, so talk some shit on the way. Black gets winner.

I feel like the time is right to put Punk in the main event of a match on Dynamite in Chicago so I would def. have him in the main event. They've held off and held off on it. Don't hold it off till Rampage this time. Go all out with it and try and create a special moment live.

On Black, the only thing that worries me is that Jericho doesn't seem to have an obvious program right now. I would prefer he just go away. But, I know that isn't happening, and he's going to suck onto someone.

Fozzy is going on tour relatively soon so Jericho will frig off soon enough for a while. Even Tony Khan’s got to recognize there is not much juice left to squeeze out of Y2J. I hope but I kind of doubt it is the case. Jericho isn’t giving any indication he is ready to wind down. I am sure he came out of that PPV being like “Hey let me do a program with Hangman and let me give him his win back, baby!”

Black should get up to the ME soon, but feed him some good undercard talent on the way. Maybe a run with the TNT title.

You know what? Have Black be the one who sends Jericho packing. Sammy and the rest of the Inner Circle go after him for it, and that's revealed to be Black's plan all along: he wants to take Sammy's smile. Use the Black/Sammy program to heat Black up for a shot at the top down the road and to evolve Sammy beyond funny guy with the cue cards.

Black has two directions in my mind: Hangman or Darby. Maybe even Sting. The Cody program kind of stunted his growth in a sense because Cody's pocket universe is...Cody's pocket universe. But Black is ready and deserving and is going to need someone after Bryan happens, and you can only ignore Punk for so long.

Jay Lethal makes me nervous. He's honestly got no place in the company right now but will get a push because he was good ten years ago at someone's expense, and I just hope it isn't Sammy (who should absolutely be hanging with guys like Cole at this point). If anyone takes out Sammy it should be Hager so we can talk about Sammy/Hager and feel bad. They're doing such a great job with building new guys.

At this point, given how he's cemented, Kingston should be doing everything they wanted Mox to do.

Kenny needs time off anyways... even it's an extended period they have enough talent to make things work. Plus if Omega is gone for say six months to a year...you have a big buildup/return waiting so it's a win win.

I kind of see Lethal being put in the current Bobby Fish role of being a veteran who puts over younger guys on Wednesday, and beats lower level guys on Friday. I can't see him going over Sammy.

Idk if I even see Jay Lethal being as high as Bobby Fish's level. I see him at Frankie Kazarian level. I think only reason he got debuted on the PPV is they needed some sort of cooldown/non wrestling segment. I'd be very very surprised if he went over Sammy but rasslin does love its old dogs and he is great pals with the bosses.

Full Gear reportedly did about 145K buys, making it AEW's 2nd biggest show. Obviously it wasn't going to do All Out 2021 numbers with the Punk match and Bryan rumored surprise. But, that would be a very good number for AEW.

For comparison, the original Full Gear in 2019 did around 90K buys. Last year did about 100K. So, 145K would be a 40%+ improvement.

Seriously, can we stop with the Nyla Rose/Shida matches? I'm over it. I'm over Nyla to begin with, but this has to be like the 8th time I've seen this match.

Well I guess Jay Lethal might not be the last exile from ROH.

Apparently they were there just to visit, but could also be working on a deal. They weren't going to debut, according to SRS on the Fightful Patreon.

Since they were brought up, on the ROH show over the weekend, in the GCW tag title match, Ian Riccaboni brought up Jay being a "changed man." I Tweeted out to Ian about that line, and he responded with

I know Ian and Jay are friends having worked with ROH for a long time together, but the hope is that it's truthful and not just Ian saying it.

Just from whatever little it's worth from knowing him somewhat online, Ian seems to have a very low BS meter to me so I would hope that Jay is a changed, more tolerant person. Everyone, even hicks that grew up in chicken houses can grow a lot in five or six years.

Also looking up the 2010s Jay Briscoe homophobia controversy, I forgot two things. Jay Briscoe tried to blame it on him playing a heel even though he was a babyface at the time which is unintentionally hilarious in some sick way (TM ChrisMWaters). Also Cary Silkin is gay!?

That's why I'm more inclined to believe Ian over most people. Following him, and from the few interactions I've had with him, he comes off as a genuine person. He has nothing to gain from lying about something like this.

I guess it had to happen someday that someone wouldn't have a glowing experience in AEW (Kiera isn't signed with AEW btw).

Counterpoint: she had a horrendous match that showed she wasn't ready, and it's good for the fans to not watch them force something that isn't working, so it was a good thing they didn't sign her to an exclusive deal.

Well thats not good since he literally took the night off touring with ETID to do that match and now he's hurt.
