Please, God..let them fix the AI. Above anything else, let them fix the AI. Otherwise, I'll be killing all the survivors again, myself.

PS3 gets Dead Rising 2? THANK GOD! I was afraid they would cancel that idea. So Ghostbusters and Dead Rising 2, shit I need more spending money for the summer. Damn you Robert Randolph!

I hope that the online is somewhat similar to L4D.. but knowing Capcom we might get RE5 Mercenaries with real zombies in vegas... which is pretty much the main game anyway.

Yay shot of Frank in the beginning at least, I liked Frank quite a bit and would enjoy having him back if at all possible.

Looks a bit different from the last game, I can't quite put my finger on why. I wanted to say the tone was a bit goofier but the tone of DR1 was plenty goofy... Just that, things like dual wielding chainsaws and trying them to a motorbike etc. seem like something Dwight from The Office would make up as a his "plan" in a "zombie apocalypse" or something.

I hope the whole having to start the game over and over again because you're character is a weak ass nancy boy at the beginning is scrapped for this game.

I'll probably pick it up in a few weeks time. Want to see a few reviews on it, and get some feed back before I shell out $60.

Yeah the first one was one of those games that was fun for a few hours and then the reality of the games limitations and frustrating system set in.

Hopefully those problems have been addressed for part 2 because a killing zombies in mass in theory, is a game right up my alley.

I'll definitely be getting this eventually...but it isn't big enough a thing for me to go and buy it when I know that Fallout and to a lesser extent Fable are about to dominate the rest of my year.

Reviews look to be pretty good so far. I may pick it up with Shattered Dimensions if I see it for $40 or less down the road.

I've got it for now. It's not bad. Not a wild departure from the original. Some of the item combos are pretty neat, and some are near useless; same deal as single items. The timed mission structure, and harsh punishment from dying are carried over from the first game (as far as I can tell; I didn't play a ton of the first).

You either have to start back from whenever you bothered to save last (and it's not checkpoint saves...even though it's fucking 2010) or you have to start over from the beginning but you get to keep the XP you earned before death.

I don't know about the second game...but the first game and it's save location were brutal and unforgiving.

That's pretty much it. If you fail a story mission (which, so far, means you didn't get to a certain place in time), you can keep going, doing side missions, or fucking around killing shit, earning PP (XP) until you die, or decide you want to start over.

To save, you stop at a bathroom and take a piss. I think there may be more bathrooms this time, but you still have to find one, stop in, go through menus that are not very quick, and so on. It's very much out of place these days, having to remind yourself to go out of your way to save the game, so that you don't have to start the story again if you die.

It doesn't help that certain story elements are wait-based, so you can't just run through the stuff you've already done to get back to where you were. You have to wait until such a time to do something, and then you can continue. I've only managed to get through maybe a third of the story missions, and there's already been two or three I have to wait for. The last of which, I missed the cutoff time because I was going all the way across the mall to check out an underground passage icon on the map, only to find the passage was locked, so I was pretty much boned. And I hadn't saved in a while, of course.

I've heard the boss battles aren't fun at all. I believe it since fighting that guy in the junkyard at the end of Case Zero was annoying as hell.

Has anyone tried the multiplayer?

I really want to play this game.. but I can't pick it up and have to wait til the 19th to play it as I know my GF got it for me for my birthday. She made the mistake of not putting the mail away as soon as she got it and I saw a package for her from GameStop. ;) I'd gladly accept it as an early present but she's way too traditional about birthdays, unfortunately. The really shitty part about this is that New Vegas comes out on the same day and I've already paid for it.. so I know I'm probably going to ignore the shit out of DR2 in favour of New Vegas for quite some time.

I traded in a bunch of games and got $70 worth of credit, then I scratched some card and got an extra 50%, which brought we up over $100 of credit. I ended up getting Dead Rising 2 and Mario Galaxy 2....since I bought a Wii for cheap. Anyways, Dead Rising is pretty fun, but goddamn is it ever annoying to lose an hours worth of leveling up and XP because you got killed and forgot to save.

I do so love this game, but Terror Is Reality is a bit pants. Co-op is fine.

I really want a game that is exactly like Dead Rising, but with Gremlins.

I have about 30 hours left to the campaign, but all of the boss battles so far have been very annoying. They usually have cheap attacks that knock off at least 2 blocks of health, and more around too much for any weapon to become effective. I had to beat one boss by getting 3 sniper rifles, triggering the boss fight, then running in a store and sniping him every time he ran by. I did the job, but I wouldn't classify it as a fun time by any stretch.

So, I was right. My GF got me this for my birthday. Which is unfortunate in the end as I got myself New Vegas and that is going to get much more love. Add to that Black Ops in 2 weeks.. yeah. Sorry Chuck, you'll just have to wait for a while.

I played a bit of it last night. It's fun, but I have a few gripes - the camera that keeps hovering above you.. I'd rather have it lower so I can see what's in front of me.. the worst gripe I have is the screen-tearing. Shit man. 2010 and we still can't fix this fucking issue? What developer sees this and thinks, "hmm, it's still okay to release" ???

All-in-all my favourite part so far has been the TiR mode online.

Beat the game earlier this weekend. I would have enjoyed it a bit more if it wasn't for all the time limits. I spent a few hours just messing around in a new game with my leveled up character, and then traded the game in for Smackdown Vs Raw 2011. I didn't mind it, but it sure is not a perfect game by any stretch. My itch has been scratched with the game, and now I move on.
