MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Gov. Scott Walker says activities of protesters at the site of proposed iron ore mine near Lake Superior "has no place in Wisconsin."

Walker issued a statement Friday commenting on the situation at the mine site, which has grown increasingly tense this week when the mining company hired paramilitary style guards to patrol the site.

Walker did not comment on the guards in his written statement. The guards were removed on Wednesday because they did not have the proper state licenses.

Instead, he decried protesters at the site as "extremists" who "should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Walker says he spoke with the Iron County sheriff and offered any assistance that may be needed.

Local News spent 3 mins on the Packers opening training camp soon, 3 mins on a new sporting goods store opening in Green Bay, and then 25 seconds on Adolf Walker having protesters arrested for coming to the capitol building without a permit. Priorities.

WAUSAU — A 52-year-old Wausau woman is accused of holding two men in an apartment against their will and demanding sex from one of the men in two bizarre incidents on Monday.

Terry L. Boyd appeared Tuesday in Marathon County Circuit Court on charges of false imprisonment, obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and bail jumping. A judge ordered Boyd released on a $1,500 signature bond.

The charges stem from two separate incidents, according to Wausau police.

According to the report:

Police were called at 3:49 a.m. to a home in the 2500 block of North Sixth Street to investigate a report that a woman was holding two men hostage. Two witnesses said they heard a loud argument and a man screaming for help.

When officers arrived at the home, they found two men yelling for help from a second-story window at the residence. The door to the residence was locked, and Boyd was sitting against the door to block the officers from entering the building. One of the men threw a set of keys out the window to the officers waiting below, who forced their way into the building.

“They stated that they were being held against their will and wanted us to help get them out,” Wausau Police Officer Jerrick Alsteen wrote in his report.

One of the men, a roommate of Boyd who Daily Herald Media will not name because he is the victim of an alleged crime, told police Boyd locked the men in the room and said the men couldn’t leave until one of them had sex with her.

After they were rescued by police, the men left the residence and said they did not wish to press charges against Boyd. When officers left the home, Boyd called the Aspirus Wausau Hospital emergency room, a counseling agency and dispatchers to report that police had “beaten her up.” Boyd was transported via ambulance to Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where she became combative with medical personnel, and she was arrested on preliminary charges of disorderly conduct.

Boyd was released hours later from the Marathon County Jail and returned home, where she again barricaded her roommate in a bedroom and refused to let him out; police returned to the residence at about 7 p.m. and forced their way into the home, where they arrested Boyd.

Boyd was taken to the Marathon County Jail, where she was held until her appearance in court on Tuesday. A review hearing is set for Sept. 5.

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Milwaukee police say a naked burglar tried to break into a veterinary clinic to steal drugs but got stuck in the air vents for almost 12 hours.

Police Lt. Mark Stanmeyer says employees of the Small Animal Hospital in Milwaukee came into work Monday morning and heard the muffled screams of someone calling for help. They discovered the 19-year-old stuck in a narrow shaft.

The teen had crawled into the vent Sunday about 9 p.m., meaning he spent about half a day in the vent.

Stanmeyer says the teen suffered multiple cuts and scrapes from screws.

Police Capt. Aaron Raap says the man had stripped naked on the roof before breaking into the vent, perhaps to prevent his clothes from snagging on screws.

The man faces an attempted-burglary charge.

MADISON — A Republican lawmaker from De Pere is again pushing a bill to create anti-abortion license plates.

Rep. Andre Jacque’s proposal would create plates that read “Choose Life” with an image of a baby’s footprint. Anyone who wants the plate would have to pay the regular registration fee, the state’s $15 special plate fee and another $25 that would go to Choose Life Wisconsin, a corporation Wisconsin Family Action and Pro-Life Wisconsin have created to funnel the money to crisis pregnancy centers.

Have you noticed that most of the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't want to fuck in the first place? - Carlin

KENOSHA — A Wisconsin man wearing clown makeup is accused of dangling a child upside down from an overpass after coming home drunk from a Halloween party.

Court records say a woman called police after she saw Antonio Brown dragging two screaming children into the woods in Kenosha around 2 a.m. Sunday. The 13- and 8-year-old children said Brown was their mother’s boyfriend.

A criminal complaint says Brown forced the children to drink alcohol. When the crying children tried to run away, Brown grabbed the older child and held him upside down from the overpass. The Kenosha News says Brown is accused of later dangling the younger child from a train car.

Brown is charged with child abuse and second-degree reckless endangerment. Court records do not list his attorney.

MAYVILLE | All is not fair in love and football.

That’s what one Illinois man found out last night during the intense Packers/Bears game, that led him to use an electronic stun gun on his wife.

John Grant, 42, of Tinley Park made his initial appearance today on the charge of use of an electric weapon.

A 12:39 a.m. a Mayville Police officer responded to Dan’s King Pin, 31 N. Main St., to speak to a woman who reported that her husband had used a stun gun on her three times while at Sidelines Tap, 111 S. Main St.

The wife said that while the two were smoking cigarettes outside of Sidelines, Grant had used the stun gun twice on her butt and once on her thigh. Grant said that the two had made a bet on the game as she is a Packers fan and he a Bears fan that if the Packers lost, she would be shocked with the stun gun.

In reviewing the woman’s text messages and cellphone video, the officer determined that the bet was true and that the wife did consent.

If convicted, Grant faces up to $10,000 in fines and up to six years in prison.

I don't remember if I explained this or not, but: I didn't run for state legislature (not for governor) due to the recalls of 2011/2012. My plan was to run for state senate in Nov 2012. That seat ended up being recalled a year and half before then. An establishment candidate (then state assemblywoman) very quickly entered that race. A more radical, far less well known candidacy would have done nothing but waste time at that point.

LAC DU FLAMBEAU, Wis. (AP) - Authorities on the Lac du Flambeau reservation say a woman was lucky to escape injury after she tried to use hot charcoal to heat up her vehicle in subzero temperatures.

A WSAW-TV report says authorities responded to a vehicle fire Tuesday morning.

Lac du Flambeau police Chief Robert Brandenburg tells The Associated Press temperatures were about minus 23 degrees and the woman's 2007 Dodge Caravan wasn't starting. So first she took out the battery, warmed it up inside and reinstalled it.

Then she shoved a mound of hot coals under the van hoping to warm up the engine chamber. He says the undercarriage of the front bumper caught fire, causing about $1,000 of damage.

Brandenburg says he's used the charcoal trick successfully, but he doesn't advise that others try it.

Manitowoc -

Two men were injured, and one was arrested, after a hit and run crash in Manitowoc Saturday night.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. at Marshall and South 16th streets.

According to the Manitowoc Police Department, a 20-year-old man's vehicle struck a 56 year-old Manitowoc man riding a tricycle.

Authorities said the man on the tricycle went into the windshield of the other vehicle, but the driver did not stop.

The driver in the suspect vehicle continued to his home on South 13th Street, and struck another vehicle at the intersection of Marshall and South 14th streets along the way.

Police said the tricyclist pulled himself into the vehicle, and the suspect tried locking him inside.

Authorities said a witness followed the suspect to his home and called police.

The suspect was located in his residence and arrested.

The tricyclist managed to get out of the vehicle. He walked to the 1300 block of Marshall Street where police officers found him. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later released.

The suspect was also taken to the hospital. Police said he sustained a significant cut on his hand. He was treated before being taken into custody.

He's facing charges of OWI Causing Injury, Hit and Run Causing Injury and Failure to Render Aid.

The investigation is ongoing.

Manitowoc Police are asking witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

For the record it was MAYBE 20 last night when this guy was riding his TRICYCLE?!?!

http://fox11online.com/2014/03/26/brown-county-republican-asked-to-resign-after-hansen-comments/

GREEN BAY – A Brown County Republican Party leader is apologizing for comments he made referencing the accidental death of Democratic State Sen. Dave Hansen’s granddaughter.

Jason Wisneski will be on next week’s spring ballot, running for Brown County supervisor. But, separate from that, one of his peers is suggesting Wisneski resign from his leadership position with the Brown County Republican Party.

Wisneski says he was trying to make a comparison when he wrote online about the death of Hansen’s granddaughter. Wisneski’s comments were in response to a newspaper article about his 2008 no-contest plea to animal mistreatment.

Wisneski wrote, “It’s funny how they never bring up Dave Hanson murdering his grandchild though.”

In 2007, Hansen backed his vehicle up in his driveway, running over his granddaughter. She died.

“In no way am I calling Mr. Hansen a murderer,
” said Wisneski to FOX 11 on Wednesday afternoon. “I understand what happened was an accident. I was just more so pointing out the hypocrisy of the press in not, it seems like they don’t want to bring up any tragedies when a liberal has one, but if something painful happens to a conservative, they’ll do that two weeks before the election.”

Wisneski is referring to the newspaper article outlining the 2008 incident with his then-girlfriend’s cat. Police say Wisneski admitted to throwing the cat against a wall. It suffered four broken legs.

Wisconsin billionaire Samuel Curtis Johnson III pleaded guilty on Friday to misdemeanor sexual assault of his stepdaughter and was sentenced to four months in jail, according to court records.

Johnson, heir to the SC Johnson & Son family fortune, also pleaded guilty in Racine County Circuit Court to disorderly conduct in the case involving the girl.

Johnson, 59, was charged in 2011 with felony sexual assault but prosecutors had to seek lesser charges because they were unable to get cooperation or necessary records from the victim, Racine County District Attorney Rich Chiapete said on Friday.

Johnson faced up to 40 years in prison on the initial felony charges that alleged multiple incidents from 2007 to 2010, starting when the victim was 12 years old.

"I'd like to deeply apologize to my stepdaughter and my wife ... for the tremendous hurt that I have caused," Johnson said during his sentencing on Friday, a video of which was posted on the Racine Journal Times newspaper website.

Johnson will have to serve at least 60 days in jail of the four-month sentence and pay a fine of up to $6,000, according to the plea agreement.

SC Johnson is a privately held Racine, Wisconsin-based maker of household cleaning and other products. Johnson had been chairman of Diversey Inc., a Wisconsin cleaning product company acquired by Sealed Air Corp in 2011, but he took a leave of absence in early 2011, Diversey said in a statement at the time.

Whether the victim wanted to testify or not, the man confessed and gets four months. SMFH

FOND DU LAC -- There have been two reports of a naked man entering or lurking outside of homes in the Primrose Lane area of Fond du Lac this week, according to police.

The most recent incident happened at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday at a home near Dewberry Drive and Primrose Lane. Officers said the resident found a naked male in their hallway. The resident chased after the suspect, but eventually lost sight of him.

Another incident happened at 3:17 a.m. Tuesday. Police said the resident was in her kitchen when she heard someone open and shut the front door to her house. When she went outside, she saw a naked male, who then took off running.

In both incidents the suspect was described as a white male between 20-30 years old, anywhere from 5’10 to 6’3 in height, with a lean to medium build and short hair.

Officials are also looking to see if the two incidents are connected to a report received on Sunday at 2:25 a.m. in which a white male was reported running naked southbound on Marr Street from the area of E. 9th Street.
