None of these shows deserve their own thread tbh (outside of maybe Ghost Hunters or Ghost Adventures) but Destination America is finally starting to come back with more shows.

Ghost Asylum premieres tonight and looks like a redneck ghost hunting show. Amish Haunting (yes... I'm that starved) premieres next week and looks like it'll be the usual re-enactments of two stories type show. A Haunting also continues with new episodes.

Next Friday Alaska Monsters starts up along with a show/episode called Monsters and Mysteries: The Blackburn Files.

I will argue that Mountain Monsters is the best monster show on that channel though. Get a crew of 5-7 West Virginia rednecks who go out hunting (something they've all got major experience doing) w/traps set and get some legit evidence on camera.

I used to watch this British show called MOST HAUNTED. It was fucking terrible but they had this Derek Acorah fakeass psyhic who was an amazing carnie. He'd throw himself around and had a spirit guide it was hilarious. Eventually he got exposed on the show and it was great. Then the show got lamer and lamer with more and more "IF YOU HERE US KNOCK" and i stopped watching.

Used to watch Ghost Hunters but my god, it got so bad with the forced joke segments and making that dickhole Steve the second in command. Ghost Mine is such a stupid premise, I'm stunned it still exists.

Destination Truth was fun by Scyfy cancelled it as well. That channel has outlived its need to remain in my channel listings.

I never go out of my way to watch these.

They do tend to be something if I turn the TV on and one is on, I can't change the channel. I know there was some alien/moon conspiracy one on some channel a few weeks back that I just couldn't turn off, even though I know it is ridiculous.

And I am always down for some Sasquatch stuff, if he counts in all this.

My wife used to be a big fan of Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures. I started watching Hunters a few years ago, but grew bored of it fast. Adventures has the most annoying host on TV. She still watches both, but mostly in passing. Interesting to note, she's not a horror movie fan. She won't watch them, but she'll watch these ghost shows.

I love a lot of the shows on The Science Channel and so I've been watching The Unexplained Files. Decent stuff usually although the familiar topics when discussed don't really bring anything new.

HauntTV on the Google Freeplay has been re-airing episodes of Ghostly Encounters (hosted by Laurence Chau) which may be one of my favorite ghost series out there as it was simple and less prone to histrionics but one of the early prototypes for stuff like A Haunting which would come later and really up the "evil ghosts/demonic creatures" aspect.

I've also been keeping up with Project Fear on Youtube after they left Discovery? Travel Channel? as Destination Fear.

Expedition X has gotten kind of blah (I've noticed producer wise they're leaning less into the contrast and using the skeptic science guy as a very surface level "skeptic" e.g. he'll mention animal life in the woods, etc. and the paranormal girl will be, "It was totally supernatural" and they just kind of agree to disagree but the former rarely gets its credence of legitimacy) but I watch it for the entertainment value.

Tubi has started airing random shows from Discover/Travel: Scariest Places in America, Most Terrifying Places, A Haunting, etc.

The cool thing is discovering these random shows/specials from like 1997 such as Hauntings Across America (a 55 minute special) and Real Ghost Stories hosted by Patrick MacNee. They are very 90s but it's neat seeing some places featured that aren't commonly featured in ghost shows nowadays.

I've totally switched as an adult from digging deep into ghosts, bigfoot, aliens, etc and into true crime.

Yet at the same time I think I'd argue at least 2 out of 3 are for sure legit.
