Biggie released one great album. aw fuck yeah snoop dogg the GOAT
Hov over Snoop was actually a really tough choice for me. I love Snoop Dogg to death. He's only released one great album, sure, but he's been part of countless great songs, including the best song on The Chronic, which is another classic album. His style is legendary, his voice is immediately recognizable, and he might be the coolest motherfucker on the planet. But Jay-Z has two five-mic classics and a standout in The Black Album that we'd look back on more fondly if he actually, you know, retired. I love Blueprint and Doggystyle more or less equally, I just went with Jigga because he has a lot of lows on his resume, but he has more highs than Snoop does.
Pac over Biggie? More or less a coin flip. I'm just relieved this wasn't the matchup in the finals. Pac has a greater body of work, but Biggie's two albums recorded in his lifetime are both classic. Pac's "MLK giving a speech" flow vs. Biggie's bouncy jazz singer flow. It's a hard choice. I basically went with Pac because I heard him first and liked him first.
Perhaps Byron will learn to appreciate Pac when they dig up another unreleased verse and stick it on a remix of "Bustin' At Em" or something.
