HBO Max (???) Streaming Thread - HBO to the MAX!

Cena should call Ari Emmanuel and try and convince him that Endeavor should buy it. Think of all of the crossover potential. Otis getting a cartoon anvil dropped on his head, Randy Orton trying to hit an RKO on the Road Runner and falling off a cliff, Cody cutting a promo with Sylvester.

Warner Bros Discovery put the kibosh on that quickly. Looney Tunes isn't going anywhere and someone made an scheduling error. I know they are dumb, but not dumb enough to let Disney be able to have Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, and Homer Simpson interact in a movie.

I'm still bitter about Max dropping Space Ghost: Coast To Coast. I imagine Moral Orel is long gone. Those are the only two classic adult swim shows I'll put on. Sealab on occasion as well.

Hard to imagine how he could make the Paramount channels any worse - they're all dumping grounds that show blocks of the same sitcom or reality trash for hours on end every day, but just on general principle I have to oppose this. No media company should be that big. The Disney-Fox buyout never should have been allowed either.

Coyote V. Acme might be finally getting released. Happy for my dude Will Forte. Forte and John Cena as rival lawyers defending Wile E Coyote and Roadrunner legitimately sounds like a really funny premise. Ketchup is the same company that distributed the other new Looney Tunes movie The Day The Earth Blew Up.

If this is the end of AEW on WBD, they can easily find another home. I am going to miss catching the shows weekly on Max but they will survive.

The deal wouldn't impact TNT or TBS. They are being spun off on their own in Q3 2026. So it would only impact Max (if at all).

I'm likely the only person on here who enjoys buying movies on Blu and I know that and the theatrical experience aren't going to last forever, but still, this just sucks. Gonna really hurt the industry in general, if there even is/will be an industry.

As somebody who also buys a lot of Blu-Rays this isn't great news but we'll see how the Paramount takeover goes.

This is so stupid. The treatment of Looney Tunes in general by Warner Brothers is terrible and shows how stupid and shortsighted they are. Say all the shit you want about Disney but Mickey Mouse and Co are treated like big deals and every generation gets lots of stuff with them. Looney Tunes has practically vanished from the public eye.

There has never been a Looney Tunes theatrical release that was just a full-length cartoon. There was Space Jam and Back In Action as well as various compilation movies back in the day. Finding Looney Tunes stuff to watch except fanmade videos on youtube isn't easy. It's so stupid. I downloaded a ton of it when my kids were little and they LOVED it. Now I've gota 3 year old nephew and he loves watching old Mickey Mouse/Goofy stuff and I have to go on youtube to find Looney Tunes for him if I want to show him that.

It's awful to see either company getting them but the fact the GOP so obviously wants Paramount and not Netflix to win has really made the whole thing worse.
