One of my best buddies got really big into Huey Lewis & The News a year or two ago. Their first album is actually kind of power-poppy and pretty good.

Sports is obviously a really good album but I think the fact that some of the deep cuts aren't good at all prevents me from saying it's a classic.

In spite of my enthusiasm earlier, Sports is pretty much the singles and nothing else. An album with only nine tracks and a 38-minute running time shouldn't have any filler, yet Sports has it.

Yeah, the album before and the album after are in the same "good, not great" category but I think the fact that Sports has an awesome album cover is the band's "classic"

While randomly scrolling through my newsfeed, I found the original version of "Do You Believe In Love?" by British rock group Supercharge, which was fronted by none other than Mutt Lange!

After listening to this again, I'm glad Mutt stuck to producing. His vocals sound like an inebriated stroke victim.
