So I have two problems with my iPod 160g classic.

1.) The songs will play about 10 seconds of "music" but with no sound at all, and when I plugged it in to my computer the iPod froze.

So... HUGE iOS update today.

They pretty much stole all the best features from other phones. Android notifications...stolen and slightly improved. BBM? Meet iMessage. Etc. Tons of new stuff.

Plus iCloud, so instant cloud pushes to computer, iPad, iPhone. If it works like the demo (I know, I know), it's gonna be so sick.

Biggest leap forward since the app store.

It took over two hours, but I managed to replace my iPhone 3GS battery last night. I'll wait a few days to make sure the thing doesn't blow up before I call it a complete success, but everything seems to be working so far. Even the camera, which for awhile I was just going to concede was not going to be going back in there properly.

Every phone I've owned before this changing the battery was a matter of a few seconds, but hey you only paid $700 for the phone what's another $100 for a battery? Big fuck off and die to Apple for that design. I'll give them credit though, those Apple engineers are some geniously evil fucks. My favorite traps along the way were the screw that you have to remove that has a voids warranty sticker just to stick it to you and officially make it void your warranty for daring to change the battery yourself, and the battery being held to the case with adhesive but where you would want to apply force to remove it they run a ribbon cable that is going to break very easily just to make it that much more difficult.

After playing Ticket To Ride with my sister my fiance and I both bought the iPhone app version. Terrific adaptation. Well worth the $1.99 purchase point.

Twitter Trends Turn Deadly in This Insane Experimental Shooter

In the screenshot you see here I am being killed by zombies, but they aren't normal zombies. They are #ReplaceMovieTitlesWithPope zombies, and they are legion.

Created by Hamsteria! creator Sean McCracken (with game design support by his five-year-old son, Geoffrey), TweetsOfTheDead is a simple zombie shooter for iOS and Android that spawns enemies based on tweets from the Twitter main timeline.

For instance, say you play a game based on the tag #Zombies. The game scans for tweets containing the tag and spawns zombies for each one. Zombies spawned have the tweets that spawned them hanging over their heads, and when you finally go down you'll see the Twitter handle belonging to the author whose tweet killed you, in case you're hungry for revenge.

The shooting action is a bit primitive and light on options, but McCracken has plans to build the game into something much bigger. You can purchase TweetsOfTheDead for iOS and Android for $.99 right now, with proceeds going towards making the game even better.

"I tried to make a really fun shooter by ditching the dual stick approach and going with a one stick or a one stick + gyro control schema," McCracken told me via email. "This game is way beta still, but I have lots planned for it. This is my Anti-Kickstarter, I'm trying to make money on the MVG (Minimum Viable Game) and turn it into a real shooter with missions and multiplayer."

It's rough, but it definitely has promise. Maybe one day #TweetsOfTheDead will be its own deadliest level.
