Jake the Snake is being "saved" by DDP

It says in the article he's already helped him train for awhile and has lost 35 pounds. I wonder if he has cut him off the smokes and booze/beers?

When we saw Jake at Mania weekend in Miami (shoot discussion with him and Honky Tonk Man in front of a crowd) he defiantely ballooned, looked like he wasnt taking care of himself very well but he didn't look necessarily burnt out at least.

If he does in fact get "one last run" I could maybe see TNA pick him up to work the midcard although I think he hates Hogan with a passion.

Yeah, he doesn't need another run in the ring. Maybe 1 last match at best. If he's cleaned up, Jake could be a hell of a resource from some of the younger guys.

He won't get any kind of last run. He's going to keep working 2 minute matches in gyms across the midwest.

He should have an Arn Anderson/Pat Patterson type job but he's screwed up every chance he's gotten which is a loss for the wrestling business. He could teach new guys (and most of the old guys) so much. Instead, he'll die broke, alone and forgotten.

Wait... what? I'm having trouble getting my head around this whole disaster-to-come. The only match I could see Jake work would be some kind of 8 or 10-man tag with all the (surviving) old guys at Mania, which won't happen anyway.

Given the twisted nature of the business you just know the moment Jake is in good physical shape, off drugs, and doing interviews where he says its the best he's felt in years, that'll be when he drops dead as opposed to all those years doing crack.

Whatever it takes to finally end the ANNOOOOYING cycle of "Jacke Roberts is on drugs/rehabilitated" stories

That's how it goes... you try to get someone in shape whose body has gotten used to and has thrived off of all the terrible things in life and it doesn't know what to do, it panics, and it shuts itself down. DDP gonna kill Jake Roberts :'(

Now I want to see Jake on Gut Check.

Doesn't look like this is working out very well. Taken from Lords of Pain, who probably copy and pasted from somewhere else:

- We noted before that WWE Legend Jake "The Snake" Roberts was moving in with Diamond Dallas Page on Monday. The plan is for DDP to use his yoga program to help get Roberts back in shape for one more run in the ring.

Roberts was booked for an independent show in La Marque, Texas on Saturday night for the Coastal Wrestling Federation where he was set to face a wrestler named Johnny Blade. According to fans in attendance, Roberts had been drinking and got upset when he felt his opponent was getting too much attention, more than Roberts himself.

Roberts reportedly confronted Blade during a mid-show promo in the ring. The story goes that Roberts ordered a confused referee to the ring, hit Blade in the head and then fell on top of him for a quick, sloppy pin. Roberts then reportedly walked straight from the ring to his car and left.

There were about 300 fans in attendance and the promoter issued an apology for Roberts' action.

Jake looks happy if nothing else. I see he's already become an Afflicition-bro!

Really enjoyed the Halloween video. They seem like a couple of really nice guys. Guy at the end geeked out a hell of a lot less than I probably would have.

Jake's on Twitter now, really coming through with some gems early on, here's my favourite:

@JakeSnakeDDT

Am I the only one that got a little choked up watching that trailer video?
