That links reminds me of a Backstreet Boys profile that appeared in Rolling Stone around the height of their popularity. There was a part where a couple of the Boys started making jokes about a really fat fan they recently had an encounter with. The resulting mini-outrage* wasn't because these guys were making fat jokes at the expense of their fanbase, but at Rolling Stone for printing them.
