There's a lot of info out there, but I figured I'd start this off by letting everyone know that the team and player ratings are now being posted weekly, starting with my favorite: the NFC North.

Madden NFL 10 - Titans vs. Ravens - HD (1 of 6)

Part one of six of a complete game, Baltimore @ Tennessee. Some things are still buggy (Justin Gage makes a catch), but some things look really cool, like asking if you want to return Chris Johnson to the game after his injury rather than the previous versions' "run play, pause, check injury report, repeat until satisfied".

I'll watch that in a minute.

The biggest thing in this year's game is the online franchise. It looks to be similar to last year's NCAA online dynasty mode, but with more stuff. That's a very good thing, and a HUGE step up from the shitty "league" system EA Sports has used for Madden and the NHL series. The setup, league web page, and all that is something 2K's been doing well for years. It just sucks that, like NCAA, you have to have the CPU control the teams that aren't played by humans.

Presentation seems spot on again this year, just hope the game modes have had a revamp - Superstar mode has been the same for the last 3 years.

Actually for me that's the best part. So basically I can play my usual Franchise mode with a friend involved. We got way too many hours of gaming on NCAA 09 because of that awesome feature. Of course without recruiting and the inclusion of trades and free agency it should be interesting.

My friends and I are scattered about the country right now. Online franchise will take over my life.

This looks like it will be really good, or we could all end up crying. I'm going to reserve judgement, but from what I'm seeing, I can say that I'm liking it.

Also, I so call dibs on the Atlanta Falcons if we do a NFL franchise.

On one hand, it seems kind of silly to call dibs 2 months in advance, but on the other, dibs on the Cowboys.

I call dibs on the Patriots, which means I'm winning the championship. In fact, I declare myself the champion of last year's aborted league because fools were too scared to play me. Yeah.

With this year's focus on realism, I fully expect to dominate until Romo fucks something up somehow.

What system is everyone using for the league?

Hopefully they've fixed that annoying bug that stopped me from playing in the league last season. I could play people 1 on 1, but when I tried in the league it said we didn't have the same file.

DIBS on the Browns!

You so just pissed of HQ by taking his fav. team.

I love it. Also, I call dibs on using my magical sorting hat for a fantasy draft for drafting order. If we do fantasy draft.

Honestly, the more I've read about Madden 10, the more things I like and I do think that its shaping up very well. I like the fact that they made it so many of the categories use more of the stats now. And when a guy with 80 spd can run down the length of the field for a touchdown (55 yards), I do think they are doing something right.

Also, I'm so am moving a team in the West (Cards or Rams) and East (Bills) to Edmonton and Toronto respectively when I get franchise mode going. Hopefully when you move teams, you'll get hear "Sharks" for the home team, instead of "home team". That pissed me off last year.

Wow, the graphics look like they got another major overhaul. Of course that display is probably on a top of the line set, but still. It looks sweet.

I get the feeling everyone's going to be playing on 360, but if there is a PS3 league, I'll take the Jets.

Panthers on 360, if I remember to renew my Gold subscription and get the game in time (my birthday's the 24th and it comes out...I want to say the 14th? so I usually end up getting it late)

Are we also using this thread for NCAA like we did last year? The demo dropped today. My Xbox can't get here fast enough.

Plus, custom conferences for Online Dynasty, so we can all pick whoever we want and still play each other regularly.

I just played the NCAA demo. It looks really good, graphically. It's kind of like the jump from Madden 08 to Madden 09. I don't know if the NCAA games use last year's Madden engine like they always used to, but it does seem like NCAA is just now catching up with last year's Madden. Well, except for online dynasty. NCAA definitely had that first, and it was a big deal.

I definitely like the game. Based on the demo, everything has been refined and touched up at the very least. It's just that, with my large backlog, and Madden coming out the very next month, I'm not sure I can justify a purchase.
