Code went live at 9pmEST..code I entered worked just fine...

Mine still doesn't work. I deleted the other demo, too, just in case it's a "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE" thing.

Well not long till EA's Cash Cow comes out! I'm actually pretty excited about this year's edition, rather then the dread mixed with a little relief afterwards I usually have.

I've been playing Madden 09 and the 2010 demo and I like the latter a looot more. Something about Madden 08 and 09 felt extremely "arcadey" and it was really, really irritating to play for that reason. 2010 feels more realistic somehow.

I played the Gamestop demo (5 min quarters in the Superbowl with the steelers and Cardinals) and it is WAY different than 09. It has slowed way down and it seems the field is more narrow. Also the playbook is different ( dont know if I like that or not ). The graphics kick ass and the tackles look great.

haha no idea, probably just have to type the town name into the City field? Similar to Bones Jackson or whatever it was from last year's 'Midway Monster'.

Ok so I played the gamestop demo. I really like this better than 09. The game feels a lot more like a football simulation, rather then an arcade game.

Is it me or does it seem like All-Madden has become harder then in previous years? I was getting worked.

Hope not, thought the Madden IQ was hugely flawed, as you could play a game against a natural shitty team in the air, so your Madden IQ is made harder for the passing game, only to come up against a team already hard to beat in the air.

Someone just told me that it is indeed in the Gamestop demo, and thus should be in the final game. It did have its flaws, but I liked it in general.

I like that you have to play like the team you're playing as in order to be successful. I played the Gamestop demo as the Cards and beat Pittsburgh fairly badly, and then played as Pittsburgh and had the exact same gameplan and got crushed. I might have to pass up Dallas in favor of being New Orleans or someone else with a stellar passing game.

I think it's just that same mode where you can create a team and replace one of the current teams. If they had a expansion mode in Madden 10, that thing would have been announced since it was the best thing about Madden 05 I think.

I really want this game but it will once again be a wait and see. I want proof the draft is repaired before I touch it. EA has claimed a thousand times they fixed the draft only for it to not be fixed and ruin all of my enjoyment in franchise mode.

Cause honestly I would have the CFL invade the NFL. I really would.

Though, the draft will never be fixed. IF they do, I'd be a happy kitten. Especially because I can draft my new WR that I'm so making my new #1. Kevin Nash.

They essentially C&Ped the draft from Head Coach 09 into it, from what I can gather, and that was without question the greatest draft experience ever created.

Trades everywhere (legit ones, not "5-0 MAN team trades #1 pick to 0-5 team for their #1 pick" like I would pull in Madden all the time), teams drafting needs (IND doesn't draft any QBs, let alone 3) rather than immediate BPA...

It's just one of those things were I need to see proof. I have no doubt they can make the draft realistic but I haven't seen them do it in Madden. And most of their energy seems to be on that online bullshit while not bothering to fix the problems with the core gameplan franchise.

I guess I need to wait a week or more after the release for someone to run a draft to see if it works.

I was meaning to buy Madden '09 and haven't gotten around to it yet...do you think it's worth waiting for '10, or are the improvements in the game not expected to be that big?

Since we're only about a week away at this point, I'd say it'd be worth it to wait until 10 comes out. I finally got to play the extended demo last night, and I loved how much more realistic the gameplay was compared to 09, which wasn't bad in its own right. Presentation is great, and there's online franchises, improved single player franchises and drafts (supposedly...), and of course just the updated rosters. If you can, download the free demo to try it out before you choose which one to get.

I was able to play the full demo, and the game is nice. It feels pretty good, and the slowdown is welcome. My only issue comes with how easy it was for me to tear about the Steelers with the Cardinals by just staying in the shotgun all game. I was only playing on "Pro" difficulty, but I still thought this was a bit easy. They just couldn't adjust enough.

On the other hand, how else would the Cardinals beat the Steelers?

Is a true owner mode back? I like to jack up the prices for beer, and see how well I can work the financial side of the game. I didn't play 09.

I was turned off to the game because they merely put in the option of replaying a bad down. I can understand it would be good for beginners to go back and read what went wrong. I also found out right away that it was an optional feature, but it still killed my interest in the game. I enjoyed 08, though.

I did download the demo for '10 yesterday, and enjoyed it. The sound and graphics are definitely impressive, and the game play seems pretty smooth. I actually haven't gotten to play '09 on PS3 at all, so I'm not sure how big the differences are. The game seems easy enough to pick up and play (2010, I mean), which is good for me since it's actually been quite a while since I've sat down with a football game of any sort.
