I'm getting this for Wii on Friday. It better not suck and I hope all of the new draft/ franchise changes apply to that version.

Game is out now at a lot of Mom and Pop shops that sell early. Call ones in your area and see. I just picked it up in Long Beach, CA. Gamertag is Perfect Cr1me if anyone wants to play online.

My copy should arrive this week, probably Wednesday, can't wait. If anyone gets it early, and if you can be bothered, let us know what you think.

I'm leaning towards just picking it up because I do really like the fact that they made it a priority to slow the gameplay down a bit. In '09 you really had no time to make decisions and playing defense was a chore sometimes (especially secondary when your defenders always seemed a step or two behind). I played the 1 minute quarter demo and liked it.

I dunno if the Cardinals pass rush just sucks in the game, but the one thing I found impossible was getting to Rothelisburger, except on those fluky coincidinces when the DE has an open path to the QB, other then that, my D-lineman got stoodup and pushed back on passing plays.

Probably. Computer games have been doing this crap for nearly a decade now, each year they become a little more obvious and blatant.

That's pretty good since you get both SI (for 6 months, but good enough to cover the whole NFL season) and Madden for $49, $10 off the cover price.

I wonder how long it'll take to receive Madden, though? Maybe with the first issue or something? That would actually be pretty tight.

Has anyone heard about or tried the Wii version? Since the Wii is all I have, my options are limited (my PC is too shitty to handle the game). I'm not expecting state of the art graphics, I'm fine with that...my concern is the franchise mode. The point and throw option sounds pretty good.

apparently, per the email I received, they'll send it out as soon as it's released, so I'll probably get it sometime next week.....which is cool, i can wait. I mean, 6 months of SI, Madden '10, and that dvd for less than the cost of the game? no brainer.

Wow, thanks for the tip. I had been thinking of subscribing to SI anyway, so this was a no-brainer for me. Getting to save 10 bucks on a game I was probably going to buy anyway is cool.

Just one word of warning with this deal: You're agreeing to automatic renewal, so if you don't pay attention to your SI subscription, you'll get charged for more than you originally bargained for.

I've been off the board for a bit - are we still going to and try a TSM Online Dynasty? I've got my copy ordered and paid for, but likely won't have XBL back until the 21st.

I'm still up for doing a TSM dynasty. Packers all the way!

As for the Wii version, Lushus, it sports a unique graphical style and looks like it'd be really fun to play. I'd like to try it out, though I can't see myself buying 2 versions of Madden.

I'll probably end up getting it anyway as I have a few games collecting dust that I need to trade in. The graphics are bit more cartoonish...not terribly cartoonish, but obviously not super realistic either. They almost look like NFL Blitz type character models.

While i'll get the Wii version (& have my own dynasty!...if it's even possible on wii) the best way you guys should do it is getting the teams but having a draft. Draft franchises were always the most fun with my housemates.

I'm totally up for an Xbox franchise, I just have no idea who I'd be. Tentative dibs on Dallas because they're my favorite team by far, but I might change so I can be in a TSMer's division.

Got it this morning, and its awesome, best Madden in a long long while. Gameplay is a lot smoother and the menus are a lot more steamlined.

Word of caution: Online Franchise has to be 'unlocked' with a code on the back of your manual (or purchased via xbl marketplace) so no love for the pre-owned crew or the download pirates.

Will we even have online play? I haven't read a single thing about online play. That may have been sacrificed for other "features".

Also, you have to unlock Franchise and Superstar modes, I believe...
