Hey I can careless if someone quits on me when they are losing because I'll still get a win.

Something else I noticed is that there is an awful lot of stumbling and bumbling with running backs due to the "realistic engine" or whatever they call it. On plays like a HB toss left/right, when you are running behind the line trying to get to the corner to turn upfield, if you so much as breathe on an O-lineman, your RB starts stumbling towards the ground.

Also, defenders are making these crazy dives at the feet of ball carriers, causing them to stumble like crazy.

I see all this stuff being done with good intentions but it in their quest to make it realistic by using the infinity engine, it seems that ball carriers have become way too sensitive to any defender or member of their own team that is anywhere in the immediate area.

The linebacker bullshit isn't only still there but even worse. I think I mentioned it earlier in the thread, one game I ran a bootleg to the right, the TE was about 15 yards downfield running to the right not a defender in sight. I throw the ball, a linebacker 4 yards downfield that is to the right of the throw, basically does a backwards matrix fall to the ground to make the INT. Not only was the LB not even in the path of the throw, but it would make no sense for the trajectory of the throw to have been low enough in the air for that to happen. It's happened a couple times with CB's doing the backwards fall INT, but at least those are DBs doing it.

I get annoyed on defense when I'll hit a running back (or any ballcarrier, really) only to watch him either stumble forward or do a sort of ballerina-type twirl for an additional 3-5 yards. My bro ran for 120+ yards with Arian Foster against me a couple of nights ago, and I bet a third of them were gained that way. Those yards add up quick.

Going back to rage quitting and such. I remember when we didn't get the win. They'd be able to pull the plug, rage quit, etc and we got stuck with absolutely nothing. No win, no stats, zero, zilch and it was bullshit.

Oh and about everyone who uses either the 49ers or Seahawks. I resent that remark lol. I've been using the 49ers for a long time. I even used them on Madden 05, 06, etc when they were the worst team in the game and had the lowest ratings of all 32 teams.

I don't think there's any problem if that's the case or you are a fan. However, the problem is a lot of people are not using those teams because they are a fan or have been using them forever. Some people just like to play for the win and overpowering teams are the way to do that.

They are also the way to not have to think about winning, which also isn't right.

Hey that's ok. In general most folks use their favorite team/team they root for . I've been using the 'Skins since I first was playing Madden in the early 90's.

I'll admit it, RGIII is pretty bulletproof in Madden 25, it makes me happy, I've only had a few select seasons where the 'Skins were good right out of the box in Madden as opposed to taking 10-20 games online against real competition before I was really able to figure out the nooks and crannies of how to use the offense effectively.

The thing about Madden too is it doesn't seem to matter who the best players in real life are necessarily. For example, Alfred Morris is the best RB on the roster in life, but for Madden purposes, I start Chris Thompson cause he has a speed rating of 95 and can get around the corner on stretch/toss plays that in life Morris could handle too, but in Madden the linebackers are way too fast unless I totally catch them off guard on a passing down.

If you got it at GameStop, just wait...trade it towards the next gen version (pay an extra ten, however) then just return the game for what you want.

I asked about that deal when I picked my copy up at Gamestop last week, and they said that it was only for the digital versions off of PSN. Anyone know for sure, or was it just a clueless Gamestop employee?

Clueless GameStop employee. PSN has their own deal going on that is separate from the GameStop deal. I'm sure you can find it on their website.

EA officially canceled College Football 15 and are "evaluating their options" going forward. Probably an inevitability after the conferences started pulling out, but they went public with it today.

And they ponied up too. CLC as well. NCAA stands alone.

Well this sucks. I don't play Madden, just NCAA. Guess 14' will be the last year for me to play it.

When everyone got Madden 25, did you get a voucher for a free sticker from fat head? Was it just for those who pre-ordered?

I totally forgot about it, until I got an email today saying the thing had finally shipped.

The only option I see is Mutant League: The College Years. Make it so.

Got Madden on sale. Haven't played since like '11 and it's a bit improved, but not hugely different from what turned me off of the series to begin with.

Not sure if this is a result of this being the "final" NCAA Game under EA Sport's Watch but now you can edit the stats aka W-L Record for the coaches and their Dynasty Skills (e.g. their skill coaching trees).

Awesome start to next-gen, mismatched skin tones.

I saw that the Madden lawsuit checks are in the mail so free money coming your way if you filled out the information about six months or so ago.
