So Lanny Poffo worked with Hogan and Beefcake from Fall 89 until a few weeks after Mania 6. He then dropped off a cliff on the depth chart and spent months doing jobs around the horn to Koko.
Around Summerslam he has a few random matches with Haku of all people.

After 6 months or so of being AWOL as a TV presence, he gets to do some SNME comedy for OktoberFest.

Looks like we even have video but it's earlier from 1988! Good preview for what could've been in 1989.

Who were the team members? Fatu was in WWF at that point as the Sultan, correct? Maybe there was a gap. And I don't remember an American Patriots team from that era.

Who did Heroes of Wrestling Samu and Tonga Kid? Actually I seem to recall SKeith making fun of how fat Fatu was at that PPV.
Samoan Gangsta Party?

I'm curious if the Patriots were actually Champion and Chip coming back after 6 years. Feels more like some Indy roid team or something

From Cawthon's site it looks like a dark match before a Nitro. So, unless there's a live review somewhere, we might never know.

I feel like Six Degrees of Booker T would be a decent time waster.

WWF @ Springfield, MA – Civic Center – February 2, 1991 (matinee) (5,000)
Roddy Piper pinned Gen. Adnan at 1:15

WWF @ Murfreesboro, TN – Murphy Center – February 8, 1991 (5,300)
Roddy Piper pinned Bobby Heenan (sub. for WWF IC Champion Mr. Perfect) at the 20-second mark

Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty defeated Boris Zhukov (sub. for Demolition Crush) & Demolition Smash

I want to believe Boris wore Crush's paint for this.

Time-stamped for Macho Man vs Undertaker. As far as I know, they only wrestled three singles matches and this is the only one I've ever seen air in any format:

If Red had a mask he'd have made it in WWE.

I'm pretty sure PN News and Mantaur were almost exclusive to Wanz/Europe before and after their time in the states.

Shit on News however you see fit but Cannonball Grizzly is one of the best wrestling names ever.

Catch Wrestling was pretty good at naming wrestlers, tbh.
