Let's see. Ones that I loved:
Adventure Island
Batman
Batman: Return of the Joker
Battletoads
Blades of Steel
Contra
Dr. Mario
Dragon Warrior - 2 - 3 - 4
Kid Icarus
Kirby's Adventure
Legend of Zelda - 2
Mega Man - 2 - 3
Ninja Gaiden - 2 - 3
Power Blade
Shadowgate
Startropics - 2
Super Mario Bros. - 2 - 3
Tecmo Super Bowl
Yoshi's Cookie

Those were some of my favorite NES games when I was a kid. And I'll admit this: I never played Final Fantasy until after the SNES came out and I played Final Fantasy II (IV) first.

When I was a kid I liked Goonies II (which began rumours that there was a Goonies II movie that mysteriously no kid at our school had ever seen or heard of otherwise...we were pretty stupid in retrospect), Gremlins 2, Friday the 13th, A Boy and his Blob. I haven't played these in years so I can't say if they hold up (I doubt it) but I played all of those a lot.

Nothing got more play than Street Fighter 2010 though. I played that game so much (because it was annoyingly hard to beat).

Captain Skyhawk (everyone owned it because it was always available for cheap, wasn't a bad game at all)
Crystalis (Super under rated RPG)
Ducktales
Fester's Quest (guilty pleasure)
GI Joe (glitchy pleasure)
Mega Man 3
Metroid
Punchout
Super Mario 1-3
TMNT 1-3
Willow (another under rated RPG)

Super Mario 3
Blades.................of Steel

Adventures of Tom Sawyer
Toobin'
Kid Niki
NES Open
Tecmo Bowl

Let the debate begin - I remember playing RBI Baseball AND Bad News Baseball quite a bit growing up. Pick one, and only one, TSM.

Toobin'

My brother and I were the only kids I knew who had (or had even heard of) Toobin'. It's the one about which my mom waxes most nostalgic....maybe Kid Niki, but I never owned that; I'd always borrowed it from Graham Penny, who is to this day, my first thought during Seinfeld's "pathetic friend" routine.

My buddy Kevin still says, probably once a month, how much he loved River City Ransom. I don't think I ever owned that one either.

My brother loved Toobin' growing up and got me hooked via roms. It's freakin fun.

I love Smash TV as well. That game deserves a remake.

I don't think I played SmashTV. I certainly did play Super Smash. My brother sent me a text in 2010 about it. "Hey, remember Smash TV? 'Year's Supply of Meat' ?"

I was also a fan of Roger Rabbit. That game was fucking hard though, and I suspect it's a case of the music influencing my liking a game a lot and it's really crap. Beating Judge Doom was like the biggest accomplishment of my childhood.

Get the fuck outta here with all the Toobin'. I'd have sworn I was the only one.

Anyone else play Galaxy 5000? Those two were the games I had which no one else seemed to know about.

Another one I owned and enjoyed was called Bignose the Caveman. It was one of those games randomly sold on Home Shopping Network in the early 90's.
