Can you play more than one season of my player without it crashing this time?

I was able to play ten seasons. The only problem was that they erased some of my accomplishments and my name changed for records I accomplished. My Player moves a lot faster this time around. You can flat out simulate a slew of games.

That review got me even more excited. Prime Shaq and Dikembe

It sounds somehow even better than last year. I can't wait any longer.

In the video review, they were stunned that the game is now the best basketball game of all time, again.

I'm still thinking about which current pro I'm going to start a career with. I may pick Jan Vesely.

They still doing multiple covers on this? I know I want Bird, which will probably be least popular with Jordan followed by Magic. Anyone else got a cover preference or just getting whatever they grab?

I have a feeling that most of the country will get Jordan. Maybe Boston and L.A. will get the Bird and Magic covers.

I honestly don't care.

Here are some player ratings for the upcoming. I just found out their are no 2011-2012 rookies in the game. I'm sure this will be rectified by the community.

LeBron James -- Miami Heat -- (98)
Dwyane Wade -- Miami Heat -- (96)
Kobe Bryant -- Los Angeles Lakers -- (94)
Dwight Howard -- Orlando Magic -- (93)
Chris Paul -- New Orleans Hornets -- (93)
Kevin Durant -- Oklahoma City Thunder -- (92)
Derrick Rose -- Chicago Bulls -- (92)
Carmelo Anthony -- New York Knicks -- (91)
Deron Williams -- New Jersey Nets -- (90)
Russell Westbrook -- Oklahoma City Thunder -- (88)
Amar'e Stoudemire -- New York Knicks -- (88)
Pau Gasol -- Los Angeles Lakers -- (86)
Rudy Gay -- Memphis Grizzlies -- (86)
Andre Iguodala -- Philadelphia 76ers --(85)
Blake Griffin -- Los Angeles Clippers -- (85)
Dirk Nowitzki -- Dallas Mavericks -- (85)
Manu Ginobili -- San Antonio Spurs -- (85)
Rajon Rondo -- Boston Celtics -- (85)
Tim Duncan -- San Antonio Spurs -- (84)
Joe Johnson -- Atlanta Hawks -- (84)
Josh Smith -- Atlanta Hawks -- (84)
Steve Nash -- Phoenix Suns -- (84)
Monta Ellis -- Golden State Warriors -- (83)
Kevin Garnett -- Boston Celtics -- (83)
Stephen Jackson -- Milwaukee Bucks -- (83)
Gerald Wallace -- Portland Trail Blazers -- (83)
LaMarcus Aldridge -- Portland Trail Blazers -- (83)
Zach Randolph -- Memphis Grizzlies -- (83)
Paul Pierce -- Boston Celtics -- (82)
Eric Gordon -- Los Angeles Clippers -- (82)
Joakim Noah -- Chicago Bulls -- (82)
John Wall -- Washington Wizards -- (82)
Kevin Love -- Minnesota Timberwolves -- (81)
Al Jefferson -- Utah Jazz -- (81)
Danny Granger -- Indiana Pacers -- (81)
Chris Bosh -- Miami Heat -- (80)
Tyreke Evans -- Sacramento Kings -- (80)
Tony Parker -- San Antonio Spurs -- (80)
Stephen Curry -- Golden State Warriors -- (80)
Andrew Bynum -- Los Angeles Lakers -- (79)

I think that my biggest gripe is, unsurprisingly, Dirk Nowitzki's overall rating. However, I think the reason he's an 85 just has to do with the way he collects his stats in the game. I will be editing him, however.

Nowitzki is not rated highly enough, and neither is LaMarcus Aldridge. How last year's MVP is only the 4th highest rated guard is also bizarre. He should be rated higher than Paul.

If Amar'e's defensive awareness rating is higher than Dirk's (who is a great help defender) then I'll have a definite problem.

Aldridge is very much underrated, I'd say. I would easily put him on the level of Blake Griffin.

I'm still wondering how they put Pau Gasol in front of Dirk, as well. Maybe I was lost in the moment, but I really thought those playoffs would give Dirk the respect he deserves.

People still bag on Dirk, just nowhere near as many now. It doesn;t help him or the Mavs that the 11-12 season is all but dead right now, either.

I would buy 2K12, but the problem is that my PS2 is dying and I am nowhere near able to afford a PS3 or 360.

Was reading about the Greatest Team option and that I might be able to play as John Stockton in one of the game modes. If so, I'm SOLD on this game.

You don't play as Stockton, you play as the 97/98 Jazz.

This game is unreal. I've haven't even started playing with the current teams yet. The NBA's greatest mode is so so fun. Especially for a huge fan of 90's NBA.

You got Magic Shaq, Laker Shaq, Afro Kobe, Muggsy Bogues, Larry Johnson, Alonzo, Mutombo, Olajuwon, 76ers rookie Barkley, Twin Towers of rookie Duncan and Robinson, all of the Bulls teams from 2K11, most of the non bulls teams from 2K11, and a bunch of older teams (With Wilt, Kareem, Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, Bill Russell and so on). Only important team missing is the 92/93 Suns. They could've thrown in a Laker team from the threepeat run as well. But, I guess they wanted to focus from the start of the NBA to MJ's retirement. I would've loved a 01/02 Lakers vs 01/02 Kings game thrown in.

So much depth to this game.

This game is wonderful. If any sports game was wondering how to present a sports title, they should stop and take a look at this game. Its the champion of gameplay and presentation. The only issue I have against it, is an issue out of their control and that's the rosters.

We'll just have to wait for user created rosters to download.

My favorite song on this awesome soundtrack is actually "New Low" by Middle Class Rut. It sounds like it would make for great baseball closer music, or even a wrestler's theme song.

Oh, and I got the Bird cover. It's pretty cool.

Also, it's a lot of fun beasting with Wilt.

Gameplay & presentation-wise, any big upgrades since last year's version?

Not really. Little touches to the classic games, as they have the 'graphics' of their era when they show the line ups and scores. A few extra screens here and there with info on too (like Stock Value in MyPlayer).

What's the big deal with the classic teams? They had that before. Also I'm pissed that guys that used to be playable aren't around anymore. Until I can destroy those 90s Knicks teams with Reggie Miller then I don't care.

As far as the ratings, it shouldn't be any surprise that guys are getting by on reputation. LBJ is still probably the best player in the league or in the top three at least, but he shouldn't be that high. The gap between him and Derrick Rose is too great. Kobe has been falling off for years, no way he should be at that level. Dirk should be in the top five based on his playoff performances alone. Stupid.

^- that's usually why I go in and edit players to be more accurate representation of who's where in a sports game.

Curious, I remember a 2k game b-ball game I bought a few years back allowed me draft my choice of rookies before the coming season and also create a rookie and put them into the draft.

Does this one do that? I liked that feature.

Played this at my brother's this weekend. Really enjoyed how driving the paint w/ a defender in the area isn't a no-win scenario anymore as the game calls more defensive fouls than last year's.

You can create your own draft class, save it, and then insert it into the Association mode.
Awesome~! I like having that abillity. I can make it so that there are less D and F roster players and I can put As and Bs down in the lower rounds and make it so at least 70% of them are like D or C for potential~! Huzzah!

...wait, doesn't B-Ball have like only 2 or 3 rounds? Does the people who aren't drafted go to the FA? I'm kinda curious now.

The NBA Draft is only two rounds. I would guess that anyone not drafted becomes a free agent.

I bought the game a couple of nights ago. Haven't had a lot of time to get into it. I haven't played a recent 2K sports game for the PS3 in a long time, so the reconfigured controls are taking a while to get used to. I need to work a lot on the Isomotion and running plays. On another note, the commentary is really fun to listen to. Best I've heard since Corso was doing the college football series.

The commentary is the best I've ever heard in a sports game. It does repeated itself after a little while, but it comes off as so very natural. Steve Kerr is a nice addition.

The trading AI in 2K games has always been overly active, but this game seems especially ridiculous. In My Player, I was a PG who was drafted by the Suns. I was fully planning on riding the bench for the first year at least, because of Nash. Nah, I end up starting around game 15 because the Suns traded Nash and Pietrus for KG. Suns have also done 2 other trades and have basically changed around the entire roster. After just 25 games, the Phoenix starting lineup looks like this:

PG: My BAP
SG: Carter
SF: Ariza
PF: Garnett
C: Jordan Hill

with Jonny Flynn as the 6th man.

I liked how after the Nash trade that the announcers made mention of the fact that the Suns had "made the painful decision" to trade away Nash. They lose points for saying it happened in the offseason though.

For my My Player, I started out with Houston before I signed a nice deal with Portland and grew a hipster beard. I was a center, and I had a feeling things would move around a bit. I wound up leaving after we traded for Iggy.

Anyways, I went from playing with Lowry, to Tony Parker, and back to Lowry. Lowry started over an aging Nash in my last year. What really pissed me off is we drafted a stud SG that I could dominate with for years to come, but Iggy sent him to the bench and drained his morale.
