So this is the all-time low for USA basketball, right? Failing to medal and letting Dillon Brooks drop 39 on you?
I feel like this is more shade to Dillon Brooks than about where they finished.

They finished 6th in 2002 FIBA World Cup and that was in the USA. Losing to Puerto Rico in the 2004 Summer Olympics was also really but at least that team medaled.
They finished seventh in the last World Cup. They've finished off the podium in the World Cup more times (7x) than they've won it all (5x). In fact, they've finished off the podium the same number of times that they've won it all, after they started using NBA players (3x). Compare that to the Olympics, where they've won gold sixteen out of nineteen times, and never finished off the podium. USA might be the only country on earth that thinks the Olympics is a bigger deal than the WC; we're definitely the only country that thinks its league championship is a bigger deal.

I mean the FIBA Tournament is usually in late August/September too not long before training camp so I get why most NBA stars want to sit it out and not risk getting hurt against some Eurotrash that wants to make themselves famous.

Woj reporting that Rudy Gay has signed a one year deal with the Golden State Warriors to try and compete for their open roster spot.

Dubs really are collecting all of the old dogs.

All three teams did nicely here IMO. Nurkic is an upgrade at center for the Suns if for no other reason than they just needed to move on from Ayton. He's kinda underrated and I thought it was unfair the whole time that the talk was all about just moving his contract.

As for the Blazers, maybe the change of scenery lights a fire under Ayton, and sounds like they're trying to reroute Jrue, and should have no shortage of suitors for him and should get a nice deal for him as well.
