A reminder, Ish Smith, a UFA, is one team away from tying the all-time record.

Anthony Tolliver is also still active (currently on the Sixers) and has played for 11

San Antonio
Portland
Golden State
Minnesota
Atlanta
Charlotte
Phoenix
Detroit
Sacramento
Memphis
Philadelphia

Blazers, Wolves, Pistons and Kings he has played for all twice each, so he may be the most traveled player of all time.

Trevor Ariza, D.J. Augustin, Jeff Green and Garrett Temple are all active players who have played for 10 teams, and three of them are UFAs

It's kind of crazy that Joe Smith is tied for 1st. I don't think he belongs in discussion of worst #1 pick ever but he definitely is one of the most forgettable.

Edit- I always assumed '95 was a weak draft and while it wasn't great, there was one other Hall of Famer (KG) and one guy who might still get in the Hall of Fame (Rasheed Wallace) in same position as Joe Smith that the Warriors passed over. Damn Golden State was a snake bitten franchise in the '80s-'00s.

Edit x2- Golden State Warrior also passed over Antonio McDyess, who is definitely gonna make the Hall of Fame but was an All Star and undoubtedly had a better career than Joe Smith! Kurt Thomas also arguably even had a better career than Joe Smith.

I definitely remember at the time that Jerry Stackhouse was considered the best prospect in that draft. KG was a huge question mark at the time because it had been 20 years since a HS player had been drafted that highly. I'm assuming the Warriors passed because one they already had Sprewell and IIRC Stack had made some noise about wanting to stay on the East coast. Of course 12 year-old me thought it was gonna be Ed O'Bannon, because I just assumed at the time that the best college player would naturally be the best pro player and thus would go first.

I've always been a fan of Carlisle but it was overdue tbh. He seems like the kind of coach that would have gotten left behind in this current era, and was really just living off that one championship. Cuban would have let him coach as long as he wanted to just for that reason. There were whispers recently that Luka had been tuning him out, and I don't think Carlisle wanted to be responsible for him potentially bolting.

To me it seems only natural that Jason Kidd would be a top candidate for this vacancy.

I feel like, if you had asked me to name all of the NBA legends who I think are anti-vaccine, I wouldn't have made it to five, before I got to Stockton.

Stockton, Kevin McHale, Rick Barry, Rodman, Paul Pierce. And I didn't even think about it for more than two minutes.

Actually Malone would be on there too.

Stockton does seem like one of the least surprising players to be an anti-vaxxer but that is probably the Utah association.

I saw Pringles is getting a second look from them as well. Really hope he doesn't somehow get the job over Hammon
This morning, Jay and Keyshawn seemed to think Billups is gonna be the guy. Not that I think Keyshawn is any type of reputable NBA journalist but I can't imagine Jay Will saying it if it wasn't fed to him by a reliable source.

Looks like this is gonna happen. ESPN said they’re finalizing a deal and he’s already assembling a staff.

I’ll give my thoughts on the Carlisle stuff later
