It's hilarious to see the supposed mega return the Pels got turn out like this. Like I said. Some of these picks are worthless and in the wrong hands they're even more worthless because in the wrong hands a GM can't get them in the playoffs and can't get their own picks to be high enough in the draft. And of course some of the Lakers picks will be so low as to be worthless. Other than Ingram they got robbed and they should have taken Magic's stupider offer when he was willing to give it to them.

Oklahoma City has allegedly offered (or is willing to offer) Shai Gilgeous Alexander and the #6 pick to Detroit for the #1 pick.

If the Detroit Pistons are too dumb to realize that Cade Cunningham is the obvious #1 pick which allegedly they may be then I don't see why they don't make that decision and get a guy you know is an All Star Player in SGA out of it.

The Westbrook trade is done. That Lakers package is trash. I can't believe they were able to move it.

KCP and the 22 are the only things of value in there. Harrell was a bad signing and Kuzma is just disappointing. Also supposedly they offered that package to every team in the league. I'm not sure exactly how things will work out in the playoffs, but one of AD and LeBron is probably gonna be hurt a decent amount. The Lakers had to have a third star to make up for when that happens. Westbrook is gonna have to learn when to stop shooting 3's though or we ain't gonna win shit. That being said this will probably be the best rebounding team on the offensive boards in the NBA.

Daniel Theis to Rockets

Seem to be mutual interest between The Bulls and Lonzo Ball as well as Derrick Rose but nothing official yet. They need one more wing and another big, but I'd love those moves. The point guard and ball handling depth would be awesome compared to the last five years.

Bleacher Report is reporting that DeMar DeRozan, Rudy Gay, and Carmelo Anthony are all willing to take paycuts to join the Lakers in pursuit of an NBA championship.

Once you cast your cynicism aside, it's pretty neat that the 2014 Team USA would reunite to bring joy into @909 's life.

(I could've swore Russ was on that team but I guess he skipped it out. Maybe 2012 or 2016 Team USA would've been a more accurate joke.)

The Pistons cut loose Cory Joseph and Deividas Sirvydis. ngl I don't even know who that second guy is.

The Celtics sent Moses Brown, acquired in the Kemba Walker trade, to Dallas in the deal for Richardson.

Rudy Gay is actually a good three point shooter these days. I would take him as a team fit over the other two, and I would go so far as to say that the Lakers have to sign him. DeRozan is obviously a better player though. I would also like Patty Mills tbh. I don't think any of those players doesn't fit except for Melo. The Lakers are gonna try to win a title the same as last time, by pounding the paint, dominating the glass, and D up. They cannot give a role to someone like Melo.

I also think their need for 3 point shooting is overblown. They were terrible from 3 in 19-20 and were also one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in the playoffs. They were 57% from 2 point range in the playoffs though. By far the highest. The Lakers can only win a title by pounding the paint. That's what their big two (and now three) brings to the table. They were beating the fuck out of the Suns before AD got hurt. There is no other way for them to win.

I, too, think that the need for three-point shooting is overblown. But then, I've always thought that. Did people already forget how the Bucks won a championship?

People think Giannis jumped and dunked from the three point line. They were even worse in the playoffs from three than the Lakers were the year before. 32%! I'm not gonna bug out cause the Lakers want to try to win a title without shooting 40% from 3, but they can't sign some dude like Melo who won't play defense.

Before Giannis, it had been so long since we've had a player that can basically score at will inside the paint (Shaq?) that people forget how dominant that makes the team. 3-point shooting comes and goes in streaks (unless your team is just blessed with depth outside the arc) but having a dude that can drive and yam on anyone within a radius of 10 feet is a rare commodity these days. It wasn't a coincidence that the Bucks started playing much better once Giannis stopped chucking and starting driving.

Kawhi declined his player option making him a free agent.
